Three Candlesticks Writing Paper - White

Good quality. A lined page to put underneath would have been helpful.

The ink sticks to the paper and that’s all I wanted.

Three Candlesticks pad review. Very good quality heavy P4TO paper. One side textured, the other smooth. I can write with fountain pen on either side. Like some others I ordered this pad as I wanted pure white paper. It is not white, it’s cream or ivory. The images on Amazon made it appear white and the pad says it’s white but it is not. That disappointed me. I ended up buying a Basildon Bond white pad afterwards. No question BB though fine, even for fountain pen, is inferior paper to TC but has, at least, a lined guide sheet. I don’t see why a guide sheet is not included with TC to help you write neatly. I knew this was the case so I’ve kept an old Basildon Bond sheet for the purpose. With the TC A4 pad I already had I drew horizontal lines in black on a sheet of A4 printer paper to act as a guide sheet.

I don’t often use writing paper any longer. Most correspondence is by email but I’ve recently started writing to a couple of rediscovered friends who don’t use email. I prefer fountain pen for writing and the paper I have for my printer is absorbent. Although it looks good quality, it’s not good for manual writing with ink. I bought a pad of Basildon Bond and was disappointed with the quality. It seemed quite cheap.Three Candlesticks paper really hits the spot. It has the look and feel of the old fashioned watermarked paper that independent stationers used to stock. It’s thick and the pen really writes smoothly with no absorption. It’s a pleasure to write on and worth the cost. The matching envelopes really finish it off. Very pleased with this purchase.

Quality writing paper is not something you use everyday and is thus quite difficult to find in shops.Amazon to the rescue again.Once ordered, delivery was perfect.Great quality and just what is needed for that important letter.

New to fountain pens I thought id try some new paper.This is great paper, but for wet, wet pens, its not so good, for fine nib pens that don't gush, its fine. I've hadbetter results with other paper.This pad will be reserved for 'posh' letters lol
