A sponge worthy of love!
I have this weird thing where I hate sponges. They completely gross me out. I've spent my entire adult life using a variety of brushes and contraptions for my dishes with the explicit goal of avoiding sponges and none of them have quite worked out perfectly. When moving in with my boyfriend who is a lover of sponges I realized we needed to find a middle ground. I was skeptical - as was he - but we purchased a package of these sponges in July and now in October the first one is still going strong! A few little nubbins have fallen off, but it's no problem. And it's still super clean - we simply rinse out any debris after every daily use and run it through the dishwasher with our dishes each time we run it.Pros:-Makes us both happy - the sponge lover and sponge hater-Stays clean and fresh for ages-Stays strong and useful for ages-Has a little hanging loop so you can hang it up instead of letting it sit in its own filth while it driesHis dislikes:-It doesn't have the thickness of a real sponge - you have to get used to how thin it is-It doesn't absorb water and soap so you can't use it to sop up water on the counter and it seems to use more soap (I respond with the fact that being less absorbent is why it's not disgusting)My dislike:-Your dish situation has to be a little damp before you get to scrubbing - if everything is bone dry with the exception of the bit of water on the sponge, sudsing won't happen as well and you'll get a weird squeaky sound. But no biggie!Overall, it's a lifesaver and I'm never going back to weird brushes and still never planning on using a real sponge!

better than a stinky, wasteful sponge
Here's the deal, I have no dish washer & I loathe traditional sponges because they become gross to handle, stink and are wasteful. These sponges:-always dry well-they have NO scent-and if food does get stuck on the sponge, you can rinse it off easilyIt's also nice not going through sponges & having additional waste. This pack comes with 2 & I have been using the same sponge close to 6 months now (since i've ordered) & It's held up nicely other than loosing a couple little tentacles (maybe from washing a knife?). I don't see myself using the second sponge for a while. It does lather up nicely, it's enough, but don't expect to lather like a sponge. I do have to add a bit of soap sometimes again, just depending on how many dishes I'm doing. It can get a bit slippery when using it, depending how much soap you use, so maneuvering it can feel a bit awkward but it's not a deal breaker, you adjust. The only thing I can see this sponge is lacking is its tough side. Even though it has a tougher side made for tougher grime, it doesn't work very well. You have to use a bit of elbow grease and use some pressure if you want to get caked-on things off. Ultimately it's really no big deal but it can be a hassle. I just let things soak, rinse right away or ill have to get something that is eco-friendly to use for the tough grime. Still, I've survived 6 mo.With all that said I'd still take that bit of work over a stinky, mildewy, wasteful traditional sponge.(Photos: 6 month old sponge in top, brand new sponge on bottom. 6mo old sponge on the right, new sponge on left.)

Lathering can be hard: here's a tip!
It's easier to use this sponge if you're in the habit of washing dishes immediately after use. Letting things sit and not soak is going to pain, like with any sponge. It used to be hard to lather but I learned that it lathers fast when I add dishsoap, fold the sponge in half, and scrub the bristles together. Then I get the full use of the dishsoap.Works really smoothly if things are soaking in the sink with soapy water and need to be rinsed for the dishwasher. It's nice on the environment, very different than a traditional sponge though and has an adjustment period.

Has Limited Uses and CANNOT replace a traditional spong
If you're expecting this sponge to replace a traditional sponge, you will be disappointed. It does, however, have it's uses. It's good for initially cleaning dishes that contain food that will typically muck up or stain a traditional sponge - spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, etc. If you use the silicone sponge first on those items, you'll get most of the food of of your dish and the silicone sponge will come perfectly clean because NOTHING sticks to it, but that also includes soap. You need more soap than a typical sponge (because most of the soap falls off or doesn't lather with silicone) and then the silicon sponge becomes very slippery. So, it has value to save my traditional sponge from getting gunked up, but it has NO scrubbing ability and you could never wipe anything off the counter or a cutting board because it doesn't absorb anything at all.

Great, but there’s give and take
Love how this will not stink after much use and it’s easy to clean. Great suds like a regular sponge but sometimes the grip is not there. It’s not pleasant or effective to use for cleaning deep metal pots or rubber kitchenware. Happy with this item because we got tired of the gross sponge smell and having to keep buying new ones. This option might be better for the environment and our noses.

NO STINK!
Great little sponge! Way better than continuing to buy dozens of normal stinky ones and then throwing them away! Great to scrub off hands too after a messy cooking adventure.

I like this sponge more than I had planned to like it!
I actually really like this sponge! I bought two less expensive ones which were smaller than anticipated, too small for convenience so I use them for washing veggies. These larger ones are really great! They do clean pots and pans well and they do not smell or get funky. I like them a lot. I still keep a traditional sponge around to wipe up water off the counter, etc., as these silicone scrubbers are not absorbent at all, of course. They are a nice item!

Dual sided to handle easy or difficult scrubbing
I like these much better than a regular sponge. They do the job of cleaning off food from the dishes and also lipstick from glasses. Dual sided so if you have to scrub, this sponge can handle both jobs well. Simply rinse out and I put in the dish strainer to dry overnight.
