Hultafors make the best tape measures. First came across one in Sweden and was sold on the construction, convenience and non moving tip, allowing me to measure and mark effectively down to the mm. Very good when you want to maintain the same length on multiple markings. Best tapes period

Excellent tape measure and very well made. I brought the 6 metre and the 3 metre tape they both have the ability for internal measurements and the 3 metre also has the ability to measure a pipes diameter. They both have inbuilt scribing abilities. They only come with metric measurements which might affect the North American market.

Very accurate measure. I tend to scribe the measurements onto the work using the scribe on the tape. Spot on every time. Had to return 1st tape as splitting. But Amazon exchanges with no problems.

I have gone through 5 of these tapes now! NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT OR WARRANTY. The idea is amazing and when they work they are excellent. The real let down is the blade, they are extremely brittle, splitting and sheering with the slightest of kinks or bends. They are very susceptible to corrosion and the mechanism seems to stiffen up after a few weeks of use too. I love the idea but after 5 tapes, 3 emails and an ignored phone call from both snickers, the uk distributor and the Hultafors website i am giving up on the brand completely. £150 spent and nothing to show!

I absolutely love my 3m hultefers. I got the 5m with great expectations. The belt clip broke instantly before I returned it. The cool talmeter USPs which I rely on, seem less important when measuring >3m. So I am sticking with my Milwaukee Stud tape. That said, I would buy this 5m Talmeter if it was ~£25. I really don't think it's worth the ~£40; I can't understand the price point.

I was a bit sceptical of this item at first. For starters it's metric only and against the Bahco stainless steel taps I normally use it seems a bit fragile, but I have grown to like it over the recent several weeks of (trade) use. The hook end seem a bit fiddly and it takes a bit of getting used to, bt it works well. I'm less sure about the belt clip, which seems a but big and clunky, but at least it is removeabel so I can pop the tape in my pocket as opposed to wiping it off my belt every time I climb a scaffolding tower. Gloved use isn't an issue for me - I need to use partial-fingered riggers/framers gloves in my job. The ability to score the paper facing of plasterboard with this tape (something dry liners do with even basic tapes) is one trick I've never mastered - with this tape I can now slice-off strips of plasterboard accurately and quickly. The extra (repairable) "stickly-out" finger at the rear (which adds exactly 100mm to the measurement at the front of the tape unlike the weird amounts you need to add when using almost every tape on the market) has proven invaluable to take and transfer inside measurements from windows to holes in floors and is a great feature as is the measuring scale printed to the back of the tape as well as the normal front of tape position. Almost 5 stars, but I would have liked to see an 8m tape as opposed to a 6m one and I'm still not 100% convinced about durability.After 6 months usage:The upsides: Can take internal measures faster and more accurately than the old way of bending the tape over and guesstimating a BIG plus), the 3m (and 2m) are great for boxing in around pipework, etc (directly reading off diameters of pipe) and save loads of time, the ability to score plasterboard or mark off directly is brilliant.The downsides: Not as durable as I'd like (the points can get damaged far too easily on the 6m and the tape itself is rather flimsy compared to say a Bahco Ergo 8m or even the 5m), too short (6m? 8 or 10m would be far more useful for a carpenter).Still good enough to use one regularly, but it isn't my only tape

TL;DR: Measure inside cabinets. Mark measurements with scribe on measure vs. needing a pencil. Secure lock ensures ability to repeat measurements. Strong recoil, and cool features. Strictly metric, and operates weird (suppress button to extend and/or retract). Excellent belt clip. Quick draw. Extend it a little manually, then hook it on something and draw it out the rest of the way. I love it -- this is exactly what I was looking for. I'll adapt to metric and stop fussing with fractions, too.I've been looking for a tape measure with some actual advantages v. competition and found that in the talmeter. This one's expensive because it's longer than the $30 one and has the belt clip.Here's the deal: you depress the button on it to pull the tape out (weird, I know) and it has little blades on it for marking your measurement. For drywall, lets say you're measuring out from a door frame or wall corner to hang a picture. You can measure the space and find the mid-point, then retract the tape measure to the mid-point and simply press it against the drywall. It'll cut a thin slit in the drywall, so you don't have to grab a pencil.It can do cabinetry too. they worked out the overall length of the measure and have a retractable metal strip affixed to the bottom (concealed until you slide its cover off). With that strip extended, the case + the strip = 10cm. They then put red numbers on the tape to account for that 10cm. It's pretty freakin sweet.And I'd also mention, the spring mechanism is very, very strong. This thing locks hard and sucks up hard, but the overbuilt rocker button makes it easy to operate.It has a little pinhole at the 10cm mark for making circles. I haven't messed with that yet.The belt clip is sweet and can work on a pocket or waistband, too. You depress a plastic tab towards your hip to release the measure from the clip. To place it back on the clip, it slides down and clicks into place.Stand-out on mine is a floppy 190cm. That's 74.8", a hair over 6'.It's smooth as butter, but grabbing or hooking the end of the tape is awkward. If you were piercing it into wood or drywall, much less awkward. Numbers on both sides of the tape, too. And yes, it's accurate to the best of my knowledge.The case could be sturdier, but I dont intend to drop it much, nor would I have to thanks to the belt clip being so secure and easy to use.

Så här ska ett riktigt proffsigt måttband kännas och fungera. Tydliga siffror, stabil konstruktion med stor och väl fungerande låsknapp. Förlängningen med 10cm hanteras snyggt med en liten dragbar låsning.Snygg extra detalj är skalan på baksidan som är för hängande mått och därför vinkelrät mot bandet.

Kwam al binnen zonder dat het mechanisme werkt.. met de hand in en uitschuiven.. kansloos voor zo'n duur ding. Controleer de kwaliteit voordat je zoiets verkoopt.. waardeloos dit.

Solide verarbeitet. Seit ca 1 Jahr im Einsatz. Klasse ist die Möglichkeit eine bestimmte Länge fest einzustellen und mit der Markierungsnase anzureissen. Spart Zeit!

Es un flexometro de calidad con funciones especiales como la de trasladar medidas o medir interiores gracias a una pestaña que tiene en la parte de atrás. También tiene escala por las dos caras de la cinta. Es bastante robusto y pesa lo suyo.
