installed and worked first time. I don't know if it a PC issue or the design of the card but the clearance from the outer USB port and the back PC slot is very close and the exterior of the male USB hub touches the rear chassis of the PC. It has not created a operational problem with the PC but that USB port cannot be used because of lack of clearance. This PC is a older HP slim chassis PC.

I bought this to plug in 4 external 3.0 mirrored hard drives for a streaming media server I'd built. Installation was a snap including plugging in the extra SATA power cord. Problem is, it doesn't work. I'm using Win10 32-bit with the latest service packs/updates and the latest BIOS version for my motherboard.Windows didn't even detect the card, let alone my drives, singly or together. I installed the accompanied drivers and rebooted. Nothing. Uninstalled and tried again. Nothing.I'd had no problems with the Inateck KT4006 2-port USB 3.0 I'd originally installed. Didn't even need drivers. It just worked. Can't recommend this product.

since installing, every morning I have to go into device manager uninstall the driver for it then select Scan For hardware changes so that the device is recognized again this is because devices plugged into the PCI Express card are no loger seen. I have triied removing the card and resetting it, moved it to another PCI Express port with the same problem every day.Item returned for refund

Installed in minutes, no trouble with the driver installation on Windows 10. The only thing that was kind of strange is that because of the way the plugs sit (perpendicular to the actual card) there was ZERO tolerance when plugging in a USB cord. The sides of the USB plug were scraping on the metal of the housing. To be expected, I guess when cramming 4 ports onto one card on a slimline PC.

Really like this card where I've used it, with the caveat that the ports being 90deg to the PCB sometimes makes it hard (or impossible) to get the USB cable into the port if your case overlaps the card some.

Item works great and the price is right. Glad it came with the low profile option and the power adapter cables.
