Romantic Farm: Romance Book Clean & Wholesome Paperback – 30 May 2017

Too much of the story was repetitive. Half of it was about missing the family farm, the other half about life in Johannesburg.No meat to the story.

This is a stand alone read with a HEA. It is a very short story and only takes a few minutes to read. A young woman leaves her rural home and moves to the big city. There she meets the love of her life. They start their life and quickly it is 20 years later. Lots has happened to put them where they are. She is unsettled as she always craved the solitude of her childhood.Her husband is obviously a very aware man. He grants her biggest wish but at the moment she is not sure she wants what she has always wished for. It is a sweet, quick read. No sex so anyone can read. It is set in South Africa so that is a little different. Of course, you learn a bit about that area and how they live. It is an entertaining read and I would recommend it.I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. This story covered 40 years in a few pages, without a single line of actual dialogue, until the very end. There were so many important life events that could have been expanded upon, to enable the reader to get involved with the nice characters (whom we were told were nice,but never got to know them, on a personal basis). It read like a high school essay instead of the marvelous novel it could have been. However, I was impressed with the excellent spelling and sentence structure which is a rarity these days!

A beautiful story about a farm girl who spent her childhood in Nature. She appears to have transitioned seamlessly into the city life of Jo'burg, but has this sense of restlessness and longing for her childhood farm life and the freedom she experienced growing up in the mountains. Her heart is in the mountains. Imagine her surprise and delight when she is presented, years later, with the opportunity of buying back her childhood farm back, and re-experiencing the magic and the gifts of connecting with, and staying connected to Nature.

I enjoyed this short story telling how Ruth's happiness as a child living on a farm and communing with nature goes full circle with the help of her husband when they are older.

This story is so short it's probably not even possible to make a true novella out of it.There are something like 10 lines of dialogue in the entire story with no dialogue at all in the first half or so The rest is all just telling, describing everything & fast forwarding decades.Classic case of Telling instead of Showing. I couldn't finish (just scanned through to see if there was ANY dialogue at all!)I'm not really sure why this is a book

A cute, clean book that can be read in half an hour.I don't usually like these really short stories cause they always leave me with numerous questions. I felt happy after reading this one!!!!I recommend this book.

Too short. I like long stories and good finishes. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone even though I didn't like the way it ended!!

I enjoyed reading this short story. Having grown up in the country and surrounded by farm land, I have often felt restless, just missing the quiet country. Ruth misses her country life. Her wonderful husband recognizes that. This is a very sweet story.

How sweet a story, the tale of full circle. I think it is a great story to read with a cup of tea. Not only going back into her past, but it opens the mind not to forget ones either. Keep the dream alive, you just never now what opportunity may await you to live it.

The author's descriptions helped me picture the people and places in this short story. The characters were believable and I wanted to get to know them better. I was disappointed when the story was over because I wanted to continue on with the story.

This is the story of a woman who finds peace. She already knows she has a good life in the city. But somehow she feels a part of her life is incomplete. Her loving husband takes care of the emptiness. This is a story of true love. It is so refreshing to read a romantic story about people who are not young.

A very well written story that we all would love to live. Who ever said you can't go home never tried. Romance that we all want.

I loved this short story because it got me thinking about the good things that I did when I was a child
