This product is a PERFECT and simple solution to a really important and growing problem. Inside the box is the router and everything you need to get started including easy to follow instructions for getting up and running. From opening the package to switching my kids devices over to the newly created wifi network it honestly took like five minutes. Included with the product are all the cables you'll need, everything.Here's how it works...The way SimpliProtected works is by setting up a separate WiFi network in your house. Great news -- you can leave any of your devices on the main network, and any of your kids devices are on the protected network. It's also nice to be able to say to any of my kids friends that they can connect to the SimpliProtected WiFi network and then you don't have to worry about other kids getting into questionable content while they are at your house.Bottom line...I can't recommend this product enough. It is EXACTLY what this busy parent needed to quickly and easily set up a protected, constantly updated, safe network for my kids -- well done SimpliProtected.

After reading other reviews I was excited to get this. Hooked it up according to instructions. It did not recognize wi-fi or allow connection. The only method of contacting Simpliprotected is via email and their response time is 24 hrs! I called Amazon and they had no other information on them as means to contact. I googled a number for them, but it is a recording that says they are not available for answering the phone. I do not want a product if I need trouble shooting and can not get help. What good is it to me? That is why I'm returning it!

It stops broadcasting intermittently, no way to customize what it does or doesn't block, doesn't talk well with all devices, and generally I'm unhappy. I've just disconnected it and gone a different route with protecting my kids.

Works really well as a buy and forget solution but it does block some YouTube content that I would like to allow. Manufacturer says this is coming soon when I contacted by email.

This router is useless and the shipping looks nasty. The box came as if been opened. Anyway, I did open it and try, I test with the suggest testing site in the box, no use. I test on some explicit site, no used. But the app that the device ask you to download, on my phone keep sending me notices, saying that the site is block, but in reality it did not. Very disappointed. It can only filter stuff on mobile Device but not computer. Skip this useless router.

Setup couldn't be any simpler. I just plugged it in to the wall and to the wireless router I already had, and it just worked. I setup my daughter's phone to only use that as its wifi network, and that's one less thing to worry about. While no solution is perfect, I don't have to worry about her stumbling onto inappropriate sites, and I don't have to constantly look over her shoulder.It allows her to have some freedom while giving me some space without a layer of worrying.Any time she comes across a site that she wants to access that is blocked, it's a chance for us to talk about what's appropriate or not, and to make sure she knows what her parents are on the lookout for, without her first being exposed to something unacceptable and us sorting it out after the fact with her.At the same time, the network I had before is still in place, so I don't have to restrict my Internet world to those sites that are appropriate for my daughter, so it gives me freedom, her safety, and both of us relaxed enjoyment.This is definitely a good investment for anyone whose kids are going online. I don't have to be the bad guy who says "no" to sites, while still getting the chance to talk about why something might not be right for her right now. I don't have to watch her every second, while knowing that once big class of problems is closed down to her.I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is providing access to the Internet for someone for whom many sites would be inappropriate.

The Simpliprotected device worked just as I had hoped! It was a cinch to set up. I plugged it into an outlet and into the main router for the house and it almost instantaneously created an alternative WiFi network that automatically filters content.It provided a convenient solution to blocking my son’s access to inappropriate or questionable content while not interfering with my or my wife’s everyday browsing.I don’t need to set ground rules for what sites are appropriate or not, and I don’t have to check his web history to ensure that he’s sticking to the rules. When he attempts to access a blocked site I get a notification on my phone!The bottom line is that for $100 you get an intuitive tool to keep your kids safe and give you peace of mind.
