Review: Quick, easy, and safe! - Follow der8auer's Youtube video guide and you'll have no problems with the process! Delidded my old i5-4690k to give it a new lease of life and push the overclock to 5.0 GHz at 1.38 V. Used the Thermal Grizzly conductonaut [https://smile.desertcart.co.uk/gp/product/B01A9KIGSI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1] between the CPU die and the IHS, with Noctua NT-H1 [https://smile.desertcart.co.uk/gp/product/B002CQU14A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1] between the IHS and my Corsair Hydro H100i GTX. I also used a few tiny drops of silicone [https://smile.desertcart.co.uk/gp/product/B0046YDT8Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1] to reseal the IHS to the CPU board. Now, under a 2 hour x264 stress test the CPU doesn't exceed 70 degrees, and idles at <30 degrees. Perfect!
