For the longest time now I have not been able to say what a great and quality mobile case.I think the last time I was able to say that, if I remember correctly was in 2009 (that's a long time ago) and it was a company called Vaja that did slip on and vertices flip cases for the iPhone.fast forward to present day and it is safe and sound to say that Snakehive London is quite possibly the only real leather case maker that you can actually say that some degree of craftsmanship and love has gone into making what I can only call a REAL mobile case (flip case).I wish them all the success and hope to purchase more cases as and when required for my parents who love a wallet and a phone in one place...quite simply SUPERB.

I bought this because my previous phone case from Tucch - although it had served me well for 3 years - had begun to fall apart and had worn at the spine edges to expose the plastic inserts, the sharp corners of which were beginning to stab me inside my pocket.My wife has had a Snakehive case for the same phone (Samsung S9+) for longer than 3 years and in contrast it is in terrific condition. On the outside the leather is completely free of any tears; all that happens is over time it softens and takes on a smooth patina, but retains its strength and structure. And on the inside it is like new. Because the inside is also genuine leather it doesn't sweat like some synthetic materials, so the lips of the card pockets don't mark the screen.So having seen how well hers has held up I decided to get my own in a beautiful navy blue. As well as being well made and durable it's also a beautiful object to look at and hold. I thoroughly recommend it.

Its classed as vintage leather but effectively its suede and marks so easily..even leave fingerprints from using it..for the price of it I expected full leather..and not suede..So not impressed no

I had purchased a non-handmade item from snakehive before and it lasted about a year. I searched in vain for a flip down cover for my S9+ but could only find cheap PU cases similar to the one I had previously. The reason I needed a flip down was to enable me to use it in the van phone holder as a side fold one would not grip. This time I wanted something more durable made of real leather. Unbale to find a flip down case, I had to settle for a side opening one. I was impressed by the fact that snakehive explain that every case is hand made by their own craftsmen. It really shows in the finished article. I look forward to getting years of use out of it. Outside the case has a lovely knapped suede finish which allows me to grip it firmly in use and when I am carrying it, the inside is a heavyweight smooth leather which feels wonderful to the touch and has that smell only real leather provides. I won't be using the card holder as this will only increase the chances of my phone not being held firmly in a cradle. I shall now try to find a phone holder that will grip the phone and side fold case for the van. But that will be a story for another day. Perhaps snakehive could design one - a full thickness, hammered, steel rivet phone holder !!!!??
