Q: Does this train run on DCC?

It is DC but should run with address 00. A decoder can be hard wired in the cab. I used Digitrax DZ126T

Q: Is this N-scale equipment larger than normal N-scale equipment?

The Tomix Thomas and friends are a little larger (Taller and wider) than most British n gauge equipment as I have A Graham Farish N gauge A4 and 4 MK-1 Passenger cars made by Minitrix. They all have narrower bodies than both the TOMIX Thomas lineup and many N-Scale North American models. Hope this helps.

No, Sorry, I have not converted to digital controls. I am still old school N scale. I was not aware that N scale had any DCC
