TANDEMKROSS Sub-2000 / SU-16A Front Sight Upgrade

This is a great alternative to the original unit giving a much sturdier sight plus a much more refined dot to focus on. The original orange bar is so big and takes up so much sight picture that it is difficult to get a good aim with it. The TK unit is a smaller dot and the orange/green circle is much clearer to see inside the circle rear sight thus much better at aiming. This smaller dot does sacrifice some brightness compared to the factory unit but it is a much better tradeoff of accuracy for brightness. Some people might actually not like it being a big reduction in aim but if you are going for anything over 25 years it is a must have.

The fiber optic rod (or "worm") is dependant on ambient light, so inside the Sub-2000's sight hood it's not terribly bright. Still, it's much easier to see than the original plastic blade was.Although pricey, it's cheaper and easier than other options that require replacing the entire sight assembly...

This sight upgrade is a good Move. the gun seems to be easier to get on target. However it should come with the metal lock / adjustment nuts. If you order do get the metal nuts with it. The plastic one broke just getting them out.Threading is a little tight but works fine. Work slow and very carefully. Lazier sighting tool Helps.

Better quality than OEM sight but overpriced for what you are getting.

Hard to see " fiber opitc" sight when using at an indoor range. Atleast its not cheap plastic like stock sight.

And a great improvement for sight alignment and accuracy. Easy to install but don't tighten the plastic allen nut too tightly when installing. I highly recommend this item.

Probably a great up grade if you have a gen 1 sub 2000.... But for those of us who have a gen 2 doesn't fit and it's not noted in the description. For that I returned it.

Simply better than the Keltec front sight. The only problem is the protective hood Keltec has going around the front sight blocks light a little. I've used in on cloudy days, indoors and in the sun. It pops in the sun, is adequate on cloudy days and just a green sight on a well-lit indoor range. I'm considering drilling holes in in the hood or modifying it to allow more light to make the sight pop a little more under lower light conditions.
