The prefabricated plastic panel squares that fits either 16" or 24" on center joist systems are secured with screws to the attic floor joints to create flooring space for storage or a stepping stone pathway to get to hard to reach spaces. Attic Dek panels require no measuring or cutting. Each has five prefabricated holes for screws to be secured into the attic floor joists. Installation is quick and easy. Strong and sturdy, one square has been tested to support 250 pounds. Available in 24" x 16" squares (pack of four) or 16" x 16" squares (pack of six). Screws included. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: Where do put screw bolts for the flooring**
A: It comes with the screws and has holes in the plastic where they go.  You will have to line them up with the floor joists.

**Q: is it screwed down?**
A: Yes, each one is held down with 5 screws which are provided.

**Q: Has anyone used pins too install instead of screws? Easy removal for access**
A: No. I had to remove and adjust. It was easy enough to use an electric drill to remove screws and reinstall flooring.

**Q: Somehow I misplaced the screws which came with these.  What size and length are they?**
A: They are just common drywall screws.   I think 2 inches.  Measure the thickness of the plastic and get something that goes down another 3/4 to 1 inch below that.

PROS: Easy to install. Would buy again. Simple and straightforward. CONS: 24” on centers flex, making it bouncy and not sturdy feeling. Tips: I needed access to an attic fan and to seal up a leak. Walking on the trusses not safe or fun. Attic Dek works great but.... my 24” on center attic is not always 24” exactly so getting all to fit took some planning. The decking looks to be great for 16” on center, but the 24” spacing flexes when I walk on it. I have not had an issue, just feels disconcerting. Buy extra #8 x 2-1/2” wood screws. Yes they come with hardware, but if the box is torn open in transit, it will fall out. I was short a few screw packs because of this. Have a little hacksaw available to trim around obstacles. Very convenient and well thought out product to quickly give you a safe platform to walk on. Easy one person job. Recommended.
