Definite buy!
The camera wasn't too difficult to mount. You do need to be at least a little handy with tools and have a clear plan for mounting. I didn't want to drill holes, so I routed the cable under my rear gate, through an empty space from my taillight area to my car jack area, where there is a 12 volt outlet. I purchased an additional 12 volt cigarette lighter on/off switch in addition to the one that came with the camera system. I wrapped everything I could with shrink-wrap to prevent the cable from rubbing anywhere and shorting. You may have to trim the cables or add some cable (there is plenty of cable available that comes with the camera), so be prepared to solder cables together and shrink-wrap to insure a good connection. Con: You cannot flip the picture 180 if needed, so you can only mount the camera one way. I will add some pictures soon. Overall, good camera for the price and so far, it is working great! Oh, and by the way, the camera shown for the license plate was not the one(s) that I received, even though the picture on the box showed the license plate one. Pic below of what I received. Still like the system, though.

You get kinda what you pay for.
Cheap, toy-like, gimmick. Installed on a super crew F150. Rear camera and transmitter was fine other that the transmitter is so close to the camera that it has to rest behind the bumper. Fully exposed to the elements and probably blocking wireless signal. On the inside you get the three pigtails. One is used for video and one for power. Both the monitor and the receiver need power. So you have extra wires spliced into a cheapy connector connected to the cigarette lighter adapter. About 5 feet of wire mess. I taped it all together with electrical tape. Now we turn it on and I get reception like an old b&w tv. I assume the transmitter is not strong enough to transmit to the receiver. Holding the receiver up high I get a picture but the contract and brightness is horrible. The box and instructions show three buttons on the back of the monior to make adjustments. My monitor has no buttons. Really disappointed overall. I just needed something periodically to help hook up the trailers. Maybe I got what I paid for but I will not recommend.Added: After sitting on the dash for an hour on a hot August day, it would not work at all until it cooled down. This is the second day I have used it. More reason not to recomend it.

I'm pretty handy so the installation was easy for me
I was surprised at the clarity of the picture. I'm pretty handy so the installation was easy for me. This system lets you set it up wirelessly or a wired connection. I set mine up to be on constantly. With the power button on the cigarette lighter style power adapter I can turn it off while I'm driving forward or leave it on. My choice . Also the monitor folds neatly into its case so that if you mount it on your dash it can be secured out of the way. A terrific addition to an older vehicle.

Nice folding screen!
I got this back-up camera kit mainly for my camper. I like the monitor's ability to fold flat, and the fact that the camera has several settings makes it possible to mount the screen upside down. Other cameras don't allow the guidelines to be removed.Pros:Small monitor/screenEasy to imstallSupport is goodCons:Wireless signal isn't that great (I'm not sure if its the way I connected them)

Good product
Bought these as a Christmas gift for my in-laws. I installed one on an Acura MDX it took a little while due to the lift gate. I also put one on a Ford F-150 that one went real quick. They love them and are so happy to be able to see behind them day and night. I’m thinking about getting another to install in my suburban. I would order again from this company instructions were easy to follow and everything works as they said it would.

Good value, Fairly Easy to Install, and Works Well.
Works well and easy to install. I've never installed an auto accessory before and found this fairly easy to install, the only bit of wiring skill needed is to run the wire from the license plate frame (where the camera goes) to the reverse/tail light, which I was was able to figure out without too much problem (you can find Youtube videos to help with this). The camera image is good and the wireless signal is strong. Overall, a good value that gets the job done.

Had no wear to put screen on my dash.
Never tried it with camera installed once I realized I had no where to place the screen on my dash. Bought one with screen in rear view mirror.

Wireless Backup Camera
For a very reasonable price I was able to have backup camera on my pickup truck. Useful for backing up to trailer hitch.Took about 40 minutes to install, the only tricky part splicing to backup light wires which are hardwired to socket and very thin. Cheap, easy to install, works.
