It is a separate system. The cameras connect to the NVR directly, not through your existing WiFi/Ethernet network. If you want the NVR connected to the internet but not your home network you’ll have to set up a VLAN on your main router (if it supports it). **Q: Will any wifi camera work with this system** A: I think most will. The base searches and finds the signal. Some cameras have a bunch of options but the software does seem to have pan and zoom IF the camera has that option.
