Perfect Pizza and worth the wait!
Great fun and cooks well. Takes around 35min to get to temperature on my 3 burner Outback... (grill on Full and smoke plates must be removed)Pizza is fantastic - to stop sticking me the dough use corn starch and a Pizza Paddle is a must have to help with the in and out

Heat will never be as even as a real wood fired stove
The works quite well -I have bee using it for many months once per week. I have used similar items and have built my own in the past for use on my three burner bar b que. The problem is that it gets perfectly adequately hot underneath - just as one needs for a proper pizza oven - easily 400 c BUT it can never get equally hot at the top - and so the pizza will cook perfectly underneath but not quite on top - OR if you cook it slower you get a more evenly cooked pizza but will not get the dough to rise as well. I experiment with keeping the bar b due lid down while heating and open while cooking for air circulation - which is important for even air temperature within the oven. You are in fairness unlikely to get a better solution in a bar b due top pizza oven. It is sturdy and after at least 30 pizza nights and four pizzas each night, the stones have not broken and the temperature gauge is working fine.

We haven't bought pizza in since we got this.
This is simply brilliant. I wanted one the moment I saw it, but my wife was cynical, thinking it was just another cooking toy (which is fair criticism given my buying habits). But the moment she took a bite of the first pizza, she was converted. We haven't bought pizza in since we got this.A few pointers for the interested:(i) It comes requiring a bit of assembly - basically, putting the stone lining inside the steel box. Just make sure you get the stones in the right way around, and it takes about 20 minutes all in.(ii) It is quite heavy. A single person can comfortably pick it up, but it is a bit awkward, so if you have back problems / weak hands, this might not be fabulous for you.(iii) It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to heat up fully.(iv) It takes between 3 and 5 minutes per pizza. I found you can just about feed up to 8 people, on a sort of rolling basis with everybody having a slice of each pizza, but 6 is easier.(v) Close the lid on your BBQ - the instructions say keep it open (no doubt because lawyers) but just close it. The Bakerstone is tough, well enamelled and if you aren't stupid it won't even scratch the surface. And it definitely speeds up the heating process.(vi) Dough is the real issue. Give it a few tries with different recipes, make sure you have time for the dough to rise (2 hours should suffice in a pinch) and practice, practice, practice. Great dough makes exceptional pizzas, but even poor dough is pretty darn good and better than anything outside of a fresh, wood-fired oven restaurant.(vii) Less is more on toppings. Like all good pizzas, if you put too much on it won't cook through before the base is overdone. This is incredibly easy to use, and the results are amazing. Plus, really fun - kids from 10 (under supervision) can do it.
