Extremely disturbing insights into the french psyche. The President and First Lady may be about to return France to its glory days. It will be fascinating to see the changes to french society.

Five stars because the book is so good, but zero stars for Amazon's failure to declare that this is a US edition of Two Lipsticks and a Lover, sold under that name in the UK. How many people have wasted money on this when a simple statement by Amazon would have warned them off? And why on earth did the Americans change the original, much wittier title?

fascinating, an eye opener

really love paris, really loved this book well written great read and a great insight into the paris style and attitude .Really recommend anyone to read it

I loved this book and reading about this woman's views on French style. warning- after you read this you will want to replace all your dingy lingerie and spend lots of time at the hair salon! It can end up being an expensive book!Ms. Powell has a great way with words and had me laughing out loud. I actually read this book about 4 times- I liked it that much!

I have just received my copy of this book and can't believe it's 'Two Lipsticks and a Lover' word-for-word but with a different title! What a con. I loved the aforementioned book and was really looking forward to reading this one, so am bitterly disappointed. My advice is to buy either book, but not both. Annoyed that Amazon did not make this clear in the synopsis.
