All about the poles and the cloths
I’m 5 foot 2. I don’t like balancing on stools. The house has slowly degraded to a grimy mess, despite having another branded mop/ hand held steam cleaner.I stared at the awkwardly cluttered tiny bathroom. I needed something with poles that would connect any scrubbing accessory to the end of the pole ( it’s not always obvious- I had to check on YouTube reviews). As I tackled my first areas, I came to realise it was all about the cloths mopping up the dirty dribble. With a cloth over the rectangular brush that shower door got cleaned very fast- and without any chemical glass cleaner. Wow! Tried a bit of floor. You mean I don’t have streaks, like the other mop left? The squished in blueberry came a lot quicker too. We’re supercharged. There are reviews on generic cloths suggesting that they don’t absorb quite as well as Karcher cloths. Deep sigh. At least it saves on £8.50 of floor detergent. The bathroom walls at height worked reasonably well (which is why I decided on the top model for higher steam pressure). Didn’t quite work at the top. Sigh, squeegee?.That strange gunge on the carpet outside the kitchen which the carpet cleaner has failed to remove. Wow, rectangular brush and a bit of spot cleaner spray for the stubborn bits (rather than half a bottle of spray). So it’s expensive (got it on a slight price dip and the price went up the next day). The extra accessories are expensive. I doubt Kaecher pay their third world sweatshop workers more for the stitched cloths, but I chose not to compromise on absorbency. There are some tales of product failure. I’m keeping the box for a while. You can’t store it in a frosty garage in the winter as the boiler contains some water permanently. I’ve learned to switch it off when changing tools to stop jogging the trigger (steam burns). The wheels are useful. The plug in block for the hose reduces strain on that area ( a wear area on other models where the hose is permanently attached).I like it and I hope it lasts, because I can’t see any better replacement. It’s all about the poles and the cloths.

Best Steam Cleaner
This is my second Karcher Steam Cleaner having updated to the lastest model from a 10 year old Karcher steam cleaner. It is easy to use, ready within 3 mins, replenish water during use, moves around easily, longer electric lead, elements can be packed for easy storage, looks great. What’s not to like? Could come with extra floor pad.

Very good. Too expensive. Lacking in Accessories
One minute I'm gob smacked at how clean thus gets things with so little effort... But come the kitchen sink, a dark grey composite job, complete with minor limescale, the steamer did nothing...despite claims of light limescale removed. The cooker hood, stainless steel, gleaming like new. The tiled floor, clean AND no sticky residues, excellent. The next question is whether it's worth £350??? It's a lot of money for a kettle on wheels, when you consider you get far more sophisticated items, like a dishwasher or clothes washer for the same sort of money! You have to make your mind up.The other comment is on accessories. I bought this, then realised it comes with one micro fibre cover per brush (two sizes). No big brush, no carpet glider, no "power nozzle" (which would cost less than 5p to manufacture). So I've just spent another £40 to make it usable.Value for money it's pathetic. It's worth £150 maybe £200 at a push. Ease of use etc. Fantastic.

Don't buy the cheaper ones.
This is the most expensive of the Karcher steam cleaners. I owned a small one before with a pressure knob that stuck but this one is really worth the money. I can't do without it with victorian grooved skirting boards and tall ceilings in an older building. After winter my lovely long gauzy curtains from 12ft ceilings are like Cobweb city but I can aim the steam jet high to dislodge. All the pollen from pine trees blows in from outside so a lot of dust to remove. Good for cleaning bathroom and round a saniflo toilet. Great purchase and you can just refill the tank as you go and pull it along behind you. And no chemicals!

Terrible customer service. Item barely lasted two years
Terrible customer service, do not reply to emails, no one available on live chat and after a very lengthy wait on the telephone finally spoke to someone who told me that because I bought the item on Amazon, the guarantee period was only2 years but would be three years if I had bought direct from Karcher. The steam cleaner has barely lasted two years. Will not buy Karcher again.

Amazing
This is a real game changer, especially if you have a large tiled area. I have tried so many mops etc and all have made me tired. This is amazing! So easy to use and clean. It is expensive but definitely worth the price if you are struggling with large areas of flooring. It just glides across the floor cleaning perfectly and when the cloth gets dirty just pull off and stick another one on. It comes with 2 cloths in the box but I bought some extras as I have a lot of floor to clean! It is a bit heavy but not too bad, probably as heavy as some hoovers. Love it!
