Pioneer DJ DDJ-SB3 DJ Controller

This is a great little board. The only weakness IMO is that the only output is RCA. I just grabbed myself an RCA-XLR dongle. It’s worked great for the DJ gigs I’ve done with it. This would be great for a beginner because it’s not expensive & has most of the same functionality that the expensive Pioneer boards have. It’s a little lightweight. But, I expected it to be on the lower end of what Pioneer makes. That’s not a knock at all. Pioneer’s DJ boards are the only ones I’ll use.

This is a great little controller! They say it’s for begginers but I started out DJing in the late 90’s with 2 Technic 1200’s and carrying crates of vinyl. I sold all my old dj gear and stopped going to clubs and got more into music production but now got the itch again just to just mess around and do some mixes. I wont use it too much so didnt need something too expensive and fancy but this thing actualy has a lot of features! I use this with Djay pro which intergarates Spotify. Some claim it isnt compatible but it is, its just not mapped out by default yet so you have to do it yourself and it works great. I’m sure Algoriddim will officially have it fine tuned soon but again it does work. I have this connected with a 2016 version Macbook Pro and Rokit 6 studio monitors with no sound or humming issues if you’re curious. 5 Stars!! Highly recommend!

I've been a DJ for 25+ years, and been using Numark, Traktor & Gemini. my latest was Traktor S2 with Traktor Pro, but started to have issues with S2 controller not connecting to my laptop. so, I searched for something similar to what I have and came across the Pioneer DDJ-SB3. I tell ya what... I Love It!! Very easy to use and I am using it with VDJ8 program. Its just a tad bit longer in length (about an 1.5 inches), but so many more features when compared to my previous controller! I just wish that the soundcard in the controller had TRS/XLR outs instead of the RCA. but other than that... This controller is truly AWESOME!!

This controller is perfect for small bar gigs and weddings, so simple my 14 yr old picked it up easily. Installation is a breeze and the serato lite software (free) is a great place to start with this. The wheels feel a little light and cueing up to blend is a little clunky and not very easy to achieve, maybe the pro serato will be easier. Has had no issues with noise in the system as mentioned by another reviewer, twice one deck has stopped working s far as vinyl control goes but that went away once the controller was unplugged and plugged back in. Will definitely buy the next model up and pass this on to my daughter later, it looks professional and is a great value product.

Made the switch to a controller after DJing in so many bars & clubs that offered beat up, broken gear. Why not bring my own and be sure it works, right? But there’s no way I’m going to bring my own 1200s, mixer, needles, CDJs, etc to a bar so the next DJ can spill their tequila shot on it! But I didn’t want to spend a lot right away, just in case I hate using a controller. I don’t! It’s light weight, easy a heck to use, and very responsive (I use it w a 2019 MacBook w 8gb Ram) I like the 1/8th in headphone jack. Don’t need to worry about again forgetting/losing the 1/8th to 1/4th inch headphone adapter. Cons: -The scratch effect is kind of a useless feature. -I wish it had 1/4th inch and/or XLR outputs other than just RCA. -I also wish it had another output source for monitors. But for the price, it’s great!

Look, I'll be honest, I didn't expect much after reading the negative reviews on here. I'm just a dude that wanted to learn something new and hopefully make a little extra money on the side. I saw things like the lights don't come on when they plug it into the computer; mine did. I read that it felt like a cheap plastic toy; that's false. The jog wheels were very responsive. They didn't feel like a fidget spinner but it didn't feel like a bearing that had dirt in it. Smooth but with enough resistance that it felt like I was doing something. ALL of the lights worked, and so did the buttons. I use it with Virtual DJ and it took a minute to figure out that you had to turn all of the knobs to their lowest settings before VDJ would recognize them. I use bluetooth headphones so getting my program to push sound to the correct device was a pain in the ass, but once I got it working, I was impressed. I scratched a little, i mixed a little, I fiddled with it. I am very happy with it and I'm glad I made the purchase. Although, if I had to give any real feedback, it's that I wish Pioneer would have included at least a soft case for it. I don't like the idea that I have to spend another $40 on Amazon for a travel case. I might just build a multi case from a Pelican case. All I'm saying is, of course buyer beware, that's with anything you buy online. But THIS controller? Worth every penny. If anything changes in the negative, I'll update.

It feels like a toy, but its a quality controller for this price. This is perfect for beginners to use, really easy to use, but also for anyone too. It has 4 decks ,but you’ll have to switch it by pressing the button. This controller has a good budget, it feels a little heavy, but has a plastic feel to it. The pads are responsive. The jog wheels might feel “tight” at first, but after you’ve spun them for quite sometime, it gets bit looser. The volume faders has a nice feel. Cue/play buttons are very responsive. The knobs are good. There are lots of features you can do with them with the software. Its easy to carry around for travel.

Chi ha detto che il pioneer ddj sb3 e per principianti ? e veramente un ottima consolle, e aggiungo a mio parere un pò più evoluta e stabile del ddj400, se volete fare delle grandi serate sensa aver il cdj3000, se avete passione e bravura, non deluderete il vostro pubblico. Ho avuto problemi collegandolo al mio tablet, non ho trovato nessun app decente, anche se ufficialmente dicono che funziona con djay, con wedj, o con l app android di rekordbox, non è vero assolutamente, dovete avere per forza un pc, un bel portatile e lo spettacolo è assicurato, non servono portatili nuovi o di grossa portata, vi basta un i3 a 4 gb di ram. li trovate usati, rigenerati anche a poco piu di 100 euro su amazon, una staffa porta pc di 15 euro, installate serato dj pro/lite e potete andare a fare i vostri show. E se avete anche il tablet? beh , io lo collegato all entrata del microfono dell sb3, installate un app con i tab dei suoni e arricchirete ancora di più le vostre performance. Consigliatissimo per tutti i dj.Aggiornamento: il prezzo e 290€ perché è stato portato a 909€ ????

Controladora basica, con excelente relacion calidad/precio, sencilla, el unico detalle es que la tarjeta de sonido tiene muy baja capacidad y se queda corta si vas a animar en alguna fiesta, requiere del apoyo de un amplificador.

the product is super nice and good price and very high quality but i had big big issue for the delivery ... late and didnt take my order in time laying .. even worse the delivery company delivered it to wrong place and left it by the door without chicking with me .. i really had to file more than 8 complains in order to receive it
