A great upgrade
This might be quite costly but it is a solution that is well worth its price tag. Having worked in retail for a long time I can relate to the frustration of older and slower scanners. This one is the most up to date with a scanner that is both faster and a lot better in low light. The handset and android version are both a big step up and make using this a breeze. Ultimately with this you can get more done and get it done quicker. Day by day it’s pays for itself and it worth investing it. The device is also very well made and fit for a work environment. I’m happy with it.

Great investment for a small business
This scanner really does do what it describes. I have worked in retail for over 30 years and there is nothing more frustrating when it comes to inventory or stocktakes than an unreliable or slow scanner when time and accuracy is of the essence! This scans a multitude of different kinds of barcodes and now QR codes. The Android software is up to the minute and the data processing is swift. A must for small businesses with high inventory, this will be invaluable.

Durable, Sensitive Library Scanner
The wireless barcode scanner I normally use at my shelf-checkout station stopped working, so after comparing a bunch of Bluetooth and wireless scanners on Amazon, I settled on trying this one. The scanner feels heavy and durable. It has a thick rubbery exterior that I imagine will provide some shock protection against drops—which happen frequently in my elementary library. This scanner has several feedback settings, which was one essential quality I was looking for since 6-10 year-olds have a hard time knowing if they’ve scanned a book without a beep. This scanner can beep or vibrate or do a combination. You can also set the beep volume to low, medium, or high. You change the settings and connect the scanner to your device by scanning QR codes in the instruction manual, which I thought was so nifty! I tested some scans on a batch of check-ins, and was able to complete the task quickly and easily. I can tell this scanner is much more sensitive than my old one because of how quickly it reads barcodes. But I also noticed that when my library barcodes are too close or overlap the isbn on the back of the book, it can cause a misread. Hopefully this won’t be too much of a problem with the students. Only time will tell! In any case if you’re unsure which of the million scanner options to go with, this is a solid and reliable one.

Does the job
I am satisfied with its overall function. I love that the scanner can be removed from the cradle because it allows free motion. You can also use it handsfree. The cradle charges the scanner. It works with Windows, iOS, linux and Android devices. It reads 1D & 2D barcodes. The scanner has a battery indicator on the top. It can be connected 3 ways: Bluetooth & 2.4G wireless & USB wired. It supports additional prefix and suffix. English is the default language, but it supports many languages. Whichever language you select, ensure that the host device or keyboard is the same.

I am using this to scan in jobs at work and to scan in my movie collection at home.
Review for Tera Barcode Scanner Wireless 2D QR with Stand: Pro Version Battery Level Indicator 2500mAh Industrial Grade Bar Code Reader Works with Bluetooth 2.4G for Windows Mac Android iOS 8100 Pro Blue. I am new to barcodes, so this is an experiment for me. I want to create bar codes for different jobs in my business, and then scan them into the computer. This should streamline repeat work orders from regular clients. I also want to scan in the bar codes from my large pattern collection and movie collection. It would be nice to have a catalog of these items. I like that this scanner can be a handheld unit or be put on a stand. I like that this scanner is sold by a company that specializes in scanners, including commercial grade scanners. I like that it can scan QR codes. I like that it has a battery level indicator. I don't like that it doesn't have a place on the stand to store the dongle. I don't like the tiny lag when scanning wirelessly. That can add up in a busy environment. Summary: Do go to their website and download the digital copy of the manual, as it has a lot of QR codes for this scanner's settings. You want to save this in case you lose the paper manual. From my initial impression, this barcode scanner has a lot of features that I like. As always, I will update this review if I find problems with this product at a later date.

It’s different
Typically, when I find barcode scanners, I’m finding like all blacks or like black and yellow or black and red, but this was a nice find. I like the pop of color. But I also love how easy it was to connect to my phone phone or my iPad or my laptop. I use it to catalog all of my books for my at home library. Don’t really need to charge it all that much which is also nice. I just do not like how I can’t just turn it off when I’m done. It takes about 10 minutes. I would say I have to time it and then it will just randomly beep couple times it scared me.
