When I bought a new Kenmore Intuition vacuum cleaner to replace my decades-old Eureka World Vac, I discovered that the accessories were just slightly incompatible in size. I had a perfectly good extra-long extension hose for the old Eureka that I used all the time for easily reaching high and awkward locations, but there was no way to use that hose with my new Kenmore because of the slight difference in sizes. I think that hose cost me $40-50 years ago. I hated to see it wasted, especially since Kenmore doesn't even sell such an extension hose, and the Kenmore Intuition's permanently attached wands do not reach very far. But this adapter set worked perfectly to make both ends of my old extension hose fit the new Kenmore vacuum and all of its new attachments. I just leave the adapters permanently attached on the two ends of the hose. I also had to attach the hose (with installed adapters) "backwards" from the way it was used with the old Eureka - the end that used to go into the Eureka vacuum now attaches to the Kenmore tools, and the end that used to connect to the Eureka tools instead connects to the Kenmore vacuum. Crazy, but it works. Great solution! Gave my expensive extension hose a new life, and that also solves the one aspect I don't like about my new Kenmore vacuum cleaner - its short reach.

I finally had to replace my vacuum that had separate attachments after 26 years. I loved this vacuum so much I bought the same brand. However, the newer model has onboard attachments which are pretty much useless as the hose is so stiff and does not stretch much. So I got a small 2.5 gallon shop vac hoping I could use the attachments from my old vacuum plus additional attachments I had purchased. As I suspected my old vacuum attachments did not fit the shop vac. I had planned on duct taping them to use but decided to check for an adapter first. I found this and it works great. I am so happy I purchased it!

Needed an adapter for my Milwaukee vacuum attachment kit to my Bosch shop vac. This fits perfectly and works great for Milwaukee AIR-TIP 1-1/4 in. - 2-1/2 in. Wet/Dry Shop Vac Long Reach Set Flexible Vacuum Hose 7 pc.

The smaller of the two pieces of this product worked well for adapting my Bosch 18SG-5E surface dust attachment with its 35mm ID outlet to a 1-1/4" hose nozzle attached to my Shop-vac. The Bosch vacuum hose adapter product (VAC020) that could directly adapt the 35mm outlet to the Shop-vac 2-1/4" OD tapered hose end was not available at a reasonable price anywhere. So I used a 2-1/4" to 1-1/4" Shop-vac hose adapter (many of this type of product available on Amazon) to link the smaller of the two pieces of this product to the Shop-vac hose end.I wish that just the smaller of the two pieces was sold separately.

This item IS two parts that can be taken apart and be used separately. It is a hard plastic and would not be easily cut. The pieces seem to have a very slight taper or conical shape, but in my case are not long enough to achieve a good fit.The shorter segment fits OVER / aound my old hoover canister tool , and the remaining portion of this same short piece is big enough to go ouside OVER / around the "universal" (1 1/4" i guess) extension tube. HOWEVER the remaining LENGHTH of space available on the short portion of the adapter to the "universal" ( 1 1/4" i guess) extension tube for the new vacuum cleaner is insufficient. This short piece of this adapter that I am using is a bit too loose around the "Universal" extension wand/ tube/ pole. Could be fixed by adding masking tape layer , I suspect, on the inside of the adapter, so that the adapter becomes "customized" and the extension tube portion remains as is to be used with additional tools. I am planning to keep this one, and try a different model.The problen I am trying to solve is that the Hoover tool ends seem to measure approx 1 1/8" and the end of the "Universal" wand /plastic extension tube is also 1 1/8". Using only the small portion of this adapter , it is IS big/ wide enough to go around both pieces I want to connect, but it is too wide / too short to create a satisfactory snug fit on the wand.

Works great for my Eureka NEN170 to use different brand floor attachments on the metal pipe end.

These did not fit but according to the ad, they would.It's frustrating - many other buyers say the same thing.

Made of cheap thin plastic, don't think will last, so returned.Found alternative 35mm tool to 32 mm wand converter, costs only 85 cents each and thicker plastic, seems more durable.EZ Spares brush also not as robust than the other brand, but missed return period.
