Im new to gaming on pc, does this headset work for hearing audio and freely talking into the mic without having to press the “t” key to talk?

Yes... So would any other headset with microphone. The Push "T" to talk is a key bind done by the program you use to communicate. Those programs will have a settings menu where you can likely change it to recognize when you start talking and then connect you. So check your comms program before you by anything. This headset does provide a switch for muting the mic, and that switch is on the cord. I find that pretty useless for gaming, but OK for phone calls and such. However, it does NOT have any LED (ligheted) feedback for when it is muted, which is a bummer.

can you use an adapter from female to male to plug these into an Android cellphone?

It has a USB plug in for the computer. I don't really know the answer; as I don't use it that way .

Will the headphones work on windows 11 and do they need drivers?

I just updated to Windows 11 a couple weeks ago and they work the same. I have it plugged into the same USB port. Nothing changed.

Got the headset for my daughter and she also noticed the rely strong fishy smell. Was anyone abke to get rid of the smell?

Works straight out of the box with a windows 7 laptop. Can fold the microphone up as well. Comes in different colours and a bag to keep it in.
