Genmitsu 3018-PROVer V2 Desktop CNC Router Machine, All-Aluminum Milling Kit

Hardware is fine, followed instructions carefully and working after a couple of hours. Disappointingly a virus was detected when copying files from the usb drive that was provided !! Update: 2024-06-04 helpful support from the vendor, they supplied a set of bits as compensation for the inconvenience caused by the virus. The hardware continues to work as expected using software downloaded from trusted sources.

Auf der Amazon Webseite hatte sich vermutlich ein Fehler eingeschlichen. Als Sonderangebot war die Fräse mit Offline-Controller angeboten, die ich dann auch bestellt habe. Geliefert wurde die Version ohne OC. Amazon konnte keine Hilfe anbieten, obwohl es den Controller auch einzeln bei Amazon gab. Ich solle den Hersteller in China über eine Outlookadresse kontaktieren. Das tat ich dann auch.... Über Nacht wurde der Fehler auf der Webseite dann still und leise korregiert, so dass in meiner Bestell-History auf einmal der Kauf ohne Controller angezeigt wurde. Der Lieferant Tech Maker hat mir zwar bisher nicht auf meine Mail geantwortet, allerdings hat er wohl einen Ersatz-Controller geschickt, der lag ohne Kommentar heute vor der Haustür. Die Fräse selbst ist sehr solide und (für Geräte dieser Preisklasse) sehr sorgfältig und durchdacht aufgebaut. Ich werde sie zur Platinenherstellung (Isolationsfräse) nutzen und meine bisher unerfahrenen Versuche sehen schon mal sehr vielversprechend aus.

Ces petites machines, travaillent parfaitement. J’ai eu la difficulté au départ avec les boutons. On off qui restait engagé. J’ai contacté le service à la clientèle et ils m’ont rapidement expédié un nouveau Board. Le service à la clientèle est merveilleux et très réactif. Je remercie Yolanda

J'ai du renvoyer la première car défectueuse. (Bruit bizarre) Pas de problèmes pour la seconde.

This review is based on a couple of weeks of ownership and I am a true beginner to CNC Routing. The unit came well packaged and all parts were there and undamaged. Took me a lot longer than 30 minutes to put it together, more like several hours but in the end it all came together. The instruction manual is well done and easy to follow. It does not come with a spoil board. There is one for sale here on Amazon but not sure if it fits 3018-PROVer so I made one by gluing together 2 1/4 inch 12x24 inch MDF boards I found at one of the big box stores. Boring the holes and such did not turn out great but it worked in the end. I countersunk M6 bolts found at the same big box store to hold it in place on the aluminum bed. Be careful about the length of these bolts or you may have Y axis issues as I found out the hard way. Felt like a dummy. The first time I ran Home command from gSender app I ran into a couple of problems in that X and Z axis would stop at the limit switches but would not move again until I manually jogged each one until the limit switch blue light went off. Had another issue with Y axis not working properly but that turned out to be operator error on my part. Regarding the X and Z axis issues, I contacted Swainsmart Support using the link from Amazon. I got an almost instant reply that was AI generated wanting more information. I replied and got more of the same. Looking closely at the AI replies there was a line indicating for a human agent one should reply ' human agent '. This worked and shortly after I received a reply from Tais at Swainsmart who suggested I do a factory reset on the controller using the Console feature on gSender to address the X and Y axis issues. After issuing $RST=* from the Console the X and Y issues went away. Tais followed up a couple of times to be sure things were working. Based on the response, I have been impressed with support for this product. I have been impressed with my 3018-PROVer V2 CNC Milling Machine so far. Used Google AI to write Gcode for me. Took a few tries but AI got it right and I have been able to mill out a couple of faceplates for a model railroad throttle on 2mm ABS plastic. Yes I do recommend this product based on my limited use just be aware of the limitations of 7 by 11 inch working space you will have. Also I have done nothing but mill a flat piece of plastic but it can be done.
