Wonderful brush (& comb, purchased separately)! I live in the Rockies, notorious for static & dry air, so I've fought with frizzy, fly away hair since I was a kid here. I wish I knew about this brush & comb earlier!I have very thick, mid length hair & I dreaded brushing it, because of the static, broken hair & dry ends that never went away. I also have sensitive skin, so many brushes & combs would scratch & cut my scalp, neck & shoulders. I've had this about two weeks now, & love it! The brush does still leave a bit of static in my hair (I blame it on the high altitude & dry air,) but much less than any other brush I've tried. My hair is much easier to brush, regularly, now, not nearly as tangled or dry feeling & the ends aren't as dry either (I've previously tried loads of conditioners & other treatments, including trimming my ends). The wood bristle tips are slightly, gently rounded, so, I get a good scalp brushing as well, but no cuts & scratches. The weight of the brush helps it pull through my hair, but the bristles don't grab & tear through it. Tangles & knots are much easier & less painful to work out. The beautiful & super smooth wood does have a subtle sandalwood scent (kinda like a new age shop scent). I can definitely see & feel a difference in my hair, it brushes out much easier, is far smoother & shiny, has less breakage, & has much less static!The brush is about 8 1/4" long by about 2" at the widest. It fits my small hands nicely.I've already recommended the set to a family member & would highly recommend it to others as well. I can how it would be fantastic for children's hair. It's sort of like finger combing but much more effective.The one real issue I may have is, apparently it's somewhat fragile, & can break if dropped on a hard floor or counter. It does come in a sturdy, neat looking storage box, to help prevent this though. The comb came in a velvet bag for the same reason.I'd gladly give the brush & comb as gifts.

27 Jan 2023I love the feel of this brush. It has a nice weight to it, the bristles are nice and sturdy, it feels lovely on the scalp, and smells amazing. The brush comes with spare bristles which was a pleasant surprise.

Ladies and Gentlemen, give wood brushes a chance, you won't regret it. This is a good quality brush and I love the fact that the wood naturally changes color throughout time and well fresh out the box it has a beautiful hiking through the woods scent 😆 that I appreciate it . I have nothing but good things to say about wood brushes but I'll refrain myself. Try it, it's a scalp massage and beneficial for your scalp health as well. Read about it! On you own time. Not all wood brushes are made with the same quality but this one is decent.

The media could not be loaded.  This brush far exceeds my expectations! I typically have German made boar bristle brushes and I still do. I just wanted a nice wood pin paddle brush to go with them. None of the German made wood pin brushes came close to the quality of this one. Months later and the smell is still very pleasant. I would recommend this to anyone searching for an olive wood pin paddle brush. Truly a better product.

Very nicely made. The wood feels heavy and is finished very well. I bought this because another wooden brush I had gotten has a very strong burnt rubber scent that has not gone away after airing out for over one week. This brush smells lovely - just a soft, mellow aroma of sandalwood. The cushion is very soft which makes it gentle and non pulling. Feels like a scalp massage when I use it. My hair is long and medium thickness and this reaches my scalp well. So far I have bought two items from Myhsmooth and am very happy with them both.

I bought this because of my horrible static electric problem in these winter months, but it really doesnt help or do anything better than a regular would. however I can put oil on it and brush into hair so my hair doesnt have a huge oil spot.

I have been using sandalwood brushes and combs for years and gave them as gits as well. The quality has gone down and the rubber holding the bristles deteriorates pretty fast now

Love this hairbrush, no complaints so far after 2 months of use. It doesn't snag my hair as much as other lower quality wood and plastic brushes have (also if you have that problem and it's getting worse, you probably have split/dry ends even if it doesn't SEEM that way when you look at them closely, I learned that the hard way through the pandemic) and the smell is great. It spreads sebum through my hair well and doesn't scratch at the scalp the way plastic brushes can. You definitely need to clean it and also keep it out of water (cause yes, natural wood) - I have accidentally left mine in a counter puddle, but was able to shine it back up with a terry town upon realizing it. It will get greener if exposed to water, that's what sandalwood does. I avoid using it with hair product, only natural oils, and at most only lightly damp hair (wet hair is weaker and more breakage prone). I clean is with a hairbrush rake that pulls out the broken hairs and towel fluff building up at the base of the teeth and I have lightly scrubbed it with water and mild soap to get the sebum buildup off, drying immediately with a lint-free towel in between all the rows of teeth. Would welcome better cleaning methods though.

The handle and the body of the brush is made with plastic. This is not what the product description said it would be. The base of the wooden bristle is made of a rubber/plastic material which holds onto the hair when brushing as if youre brushing with a rubber baloon.. it snags a lot and leaves a weird residue on the hair as well as the brush. The base of the brush has a white dusty coating from one use on clean hair. very strange.

Works great so far. Well made, pins are long enough for my thick long hair. Helps detangle really easily. (my hair is damaged and bleached) Hope it will last a long time.
