Sooner or later the Kisan Pathblazer will save your butt
I've had headlight modulators on 10 motorcycles since 1978 and Pathblazers on 7 of those. It flat works! I've never had a problem with the unit's working reliably without issues. Installation difficulty is a function of your motorcycle's headlight design and your ability to follow the simple installation procedures, adapting them to the configuration of your bike's high beam bulb location. I've always received good assistance from Kisan by phone when I had a question. It is well worth the time to do the installation right, so don't rush it. The payoff will be apparent when you start noticing car drivers staring at you as you approach an intersection, and when their head snaps up from their cell phone as their peripheral vision detects and initiates a reaction to the modulator without understanding what it is. Without a doubt I've been saved a number of times by the modulator. As a courtesy to drivers in front of me at stoplights I switch to low beam momentarily so they won't have to adjust their rear view mirror. As a long time rider and motorcycle safety instructor I highly recommend the Pathblazer.

Easy install - hassle free daily use
This was very easy to install and came with easy to understand instructions. It's programmable for how bright it switches to night mode, but I didn't have to change the default settings.I've been using this modulator now for about 6 months with a regular halogen headlamp and the modulator is still working perfectly. Everyday use is hassle-free. When I want to turn the modulator on, I just turn on my highbeams and it starts modulating. Super easy. I know its modulating because I can see the flashing light on street signs. And at dusk when the sunlight starts to fade, the modulating automatically shuts off to comply with the law.I just purchased an LED headlamp. Kevin from Kisan gave me instructions on how to program the modulator for an LED bulb, and he even recommended what supplier to get the high quality LED bulb from.Top notch product! Top notch customer service!

Works fine, but take care when using with LED bulb
This modulator was easy to install, and worked fine with a H4 halogen bulb.It doesn't work with every brand of LED bulb, so if you already have an LED bulb I'd recommend checking with the folks at Kisan before purchasing to see if the modulator will work with the bulb.Their customer service was excellent, they checked with me several times to be sure I was satisfied, and were very helpful with technical assistance when my LED bulb didn't work with the modulator. Kudos to Kisan for being very customer-centric.The modulator definitely makes me more visible to cagers. I know this because on the very first day I used it I encountered several dimwits who thought I was flashing my lights at them on purpose. (◔_◔) I don't care, visibility is what I wanted, so mission accomplished!

Works
Installed on my '97 Triumph Thunderbird. The metallized tabs are fragile. Not much room in the Triumph headlight housing. I tried putting the modulator loose in the housing, but when I closed the housing one of the tabs broke off making the modulator unusable. Bought another one and put it inside a 2" x 1" x 3/4" plastic box from the Container Store, used drill and file to make holes in it for the connectors, and put the modulator in there with connectors extending through the holes. See photo. "Insulated tab connectors supplied" were not in my kits, but I emailed with Kisan tech support who sent them to me within 3 days. My headlight housing did not give me much room to install the daylight sensor, so I fabricated a mount out of aluminum sheet from Home Depot. See photo. Instructions say you need a 10 mm hole for the sensor---I did not have a 10 mm drill, but a 25/64" drill is only .08 mm less than 10 mm so I used that without a problem. It works great---my high beam idiot light flashes with it so I know it is working when I ride. I would give it 5 stars if the metallized tabs were sturdier.

Check for contents before you start
This is my 4th Kisan modulator and they are great. I feel so much safer at intersections and would recommend them to anyone. However this one arrived without the spade connectors needed and I didn't realize it until I was mid-way through. Needless to say I didn't have the right size connectors, so frustration ensued. I'd advise you to check you have all you need before starting the job. 1 star deducted for bad packaging and missing connectors - the modulator was also loose in the package, not attached to the card, although it works fine.

Kisan makes the best headlight modulators
These work great, Kisan has lots of options and amazing customer service. I have used this model for two bikes and I love how compact it is. I also love how it can be wired in very easily. It's not plug and play, you do have to cut a wire and crimp some connections... Very easy
