The Noteboard is an incredibly portable, durable, versatile, flexible, and cheap dry-erase board. Give it to your kids for long car trips, or use it in school or business for writing, sketching, brainstorming, flow charts, designing, or as a wall calendar. Also makes a great surface for tabletop gaming, a hitchhiking sign, a placemat, or a very, very tiny tent. You can even make your own! Instructions are at www.thenoteboard.net .

This is not the original Noteboard!
As the previous reviewer noted, this is not the same product pictured. I have bought 6-8 of these Noteboards previously and was well-satisfied. However, in opening the package, there is no black carrying pouch and the backside is not lined as previous editions were. It's not even called by he same name.I am not happy with this product and will seek to return it. I would like to know if the previous product is available.Thank you,Edward Brand

Not as nifty as I had hoped
I do a lot of coding in environments where there isn't a whiteboard handy. Scrap paper isn't as nice as a whiteboard to conceptualize code, because it's so much easier to draw and erase things on a whiteboard. I thought that this little item would come in very handy for those coding sessions around a table in the coffee shop. But the logistics just don't work for me. The item is made up of whiteboard-like areas about the size of a 3" x 5" card, joined together by transparent strips. These strips are where the board folds up for portability, but I find them ugly and awkward to write on and read off. Others might not care as much, so YMMV.Cleaning the board with the little pencil-eraser type attachment to the cap of the marker is a pain. And the whole thing just feels cheap and flimsy. For $10, this is far too expensive. Nice idea, not happy about the implementation.I plan to keep carrying this around, though. Maybe I'll get used to it and change my mind about how much I like it. Let's see. The manufacturer is very responsive to user feedback, as you can see in the comments to this review.

NOT AS PICTURED/DESCRIBED
Serious bate and switch pulled here. The product pictured is not what was delivered, also the description of this product was changed after I placed my order. Attached screenshot from when I ordered shows a different product name (that actually matches what is pictured). This wouldn't be a big deal as it's essentially the same but with a couple differences. 1) No convenient pouch that doubles as the eraser; not a problem as the marker has an eraser tip. 2) Both side are blank, one side is not grid/hex as pictured. As I purchased this to use for maps in table-top RPGs, not having a grid makes it useless for my intended use.

not great for intended use
I bought this for portability to meetings, field (military), motor pool, etc., but when using dry erase markers then folding, I had a lot of issues with vital info being erased. The marker it came with barely works and colored markers are VERY difficult to erase... BUT with all its faults, I found one use that made this worth 20 times what I paid for it - a to do list.I have dry erase boards and cork boards all around my office filled with quick notes, lists, etc... I pinned this to the wall and it has all these nice neat little boxes that are great for maintaining a running todo list. Really, this thing is only 18 3"X5" index cards laminated in columns of three, but I took the top row to lable "Work," "TO DO," and "Me" and voilĂ no more missed reports, no more forgetting to order flowers for mothers day, etc.

It's clever and cute!
I'm a sucker for cute and clever and mini things and this product seemed to fit all three. It comes in a nice little bag that doubles as an eraser. The foldable whiteboard and marker fit nicely in the bag. However, the quality of the whiteboard is lacking. I guess I expected notecard size miniature whiteboards connected somehow to each other. Instead, it looks like someone took notecards and laminated them so they fold up. It has a cheap feel to it which considering the price maybe shouldn't be a surprise. I don't know if I'll return the item though. As a teacher, I can see these being useful in the classroom. They don't take up much space and if they're ruined, they're easily replaced.

Great customer service
The board itself is fine, it could be more durable but I thought it was sufficient for the cost. I'd give this product 5 stars but the marker that came with it dried out the first time I used it. In fact I don't think I wrote an entire sentence with it. Otherwise not a bad product. I obviously didn't think it would last long, given the size/cost, but less than a minute is pretty sad.**EDIT** The creator of noteboards reached out to me and offered me a new marker free of charge. He also through in an additional noteboard so I could see the new version. The new markers are fantastic, they've lasted much longer and the new erasers are significantly better. Also, the new black bag looks much cleaner than the old grey one after being used as an eraser. Overall this is a great product for the cost and the customer care if fantastic.

Great idea, eh execution!
I often jot little notes and reminders for myself while working on the computer which used to mean opening a text file. I started wondering if there were pocket sized dry erase boards as I didn't want to use scrap paper and sure enough I googled and found these! I quickly ordered one. First off, the product is big! It still folds up fairly well but it was more space than I needed so I ended up cutting mine into thirds which also meant I could keep one in my backpack, one at home, and one at work/school. The divisions between the pages bother me a little but it isn't that big of a deal. However, I made the mistake of leaving notes for about a week or so on the board and when I went to erase had a heck of time getting it off. I made the mistake of using liquid spray board erasers on it and the laminated paper got wet and warped a little. If you're the DIY type, I think you could definitely replicate this yourself but for someone that likes to support creative ideas and is somewhat lazy, I was happy to spend the money.

Cool conversation piece and useful
This is a very cool item that everybody picks up and plays with, right up until you need to use it. Then it shows you what's really up when it comes through like a champ. The most useful "novelty" I have ever bought.
