Works just like I expected. If you have a good LP turntable then this is a must.

Good Barwald protractor, easy to use with a mirrored surface to make it easy to spot alignment issues.

This alignment tool works great and was easy for me to understand. The only knock I have, and it is very minor, is that it was a little difficult for me to read the numbers. I chalk most of that up to 61 year old eyes. The mirrored surface works well for really seeing the underside of the cartridge, making it easy to get things lined up just right. I would definitely recommend this tool to others.

The stylist alignment is one of three economical but foundational tools to have to help ensure your turntable cartridge and stylus is set up correctly to optimize its performance. Turntables, phono cartridges and styluses are very expensive. These little tools are very inexpensive, but functionally important. This particular tool is also available in an economical kit with the three tools, but within the kit, it's just a cheap piece of thick of cardboard or press board. The this particular one has a plasticized mirrored finish that gives you a more well-rounded view and perspective of your alignment is worth the additional dollar or two because it will last longer.

i think it was worth it for this little tool just for the peace of mind knowing i installed my new cartridge correctly. nicer cartridges can get pretty expensive so definitely worth it imo to get it installed right and maximize their lifespan. on my SL-D3 it fit and aligned perfectly over the turn table with my stylus and i trust it more than just a piece of paper with printed lines that isnt ridged or the scale may be off.

Definitely want to have this product! Stylus alignment is important especially when using higher quality stylus.
