Style:Decorative/Rectangular Outlet Sealers, 10 Pack Airtite Systems manufactures and sells the only adhesive backed Decora sealers on the market! Don't be fooled...sealers without adhesive can blow away from the wall and leak air. Many outlets are on walls that are uneven, only a sealer with and adhesive back seals the GAP caused by the uneven wall. Only by sealing ALL outlets can you maximize your savings on heating and cooling costs! Two thirds of your draft is from outside walls but did you know one third of outlet drafts are from inside walls? If an electrical outlet has a wall plate...Stick 'N' Seal IT!! All outlet sealers are flame retardant and super easy to install. Stop drafts, save energy and save money! Made in the USA. Only if it STICKS...does it SEAL!!

Could be a tad larger to completely fill the cover plate.
The horrible contractors that remodeled my home free a fire, cut oversized holes for the outlets and I had to use electrical tape like the instructions suggested to cover their mistakes. If they were a little larger you wouldn’t have to do that. The electrical tape doesn’t want to stick to the walls or foam so you have to work fast to get the plate back on before it comes loose. Other than that suggestion they work great! Some people obviously don’t read the directions and mentioned sticking them to the plate cover. You need to stick them to the wall opening if you want it to seal right. I found some of the outlet boxes frames stick out from the wall a little bit, so air could escape there because they are not adhered over the opening by attaching to the wall. Plus if you ever wanted to replace your cover plates you would lose the foam since it would be attached to the plate instead of the wall. Where it was possible I saved and cut the leftover pieces that you poke out to stick over some bigger holes instead of tape and then put tape over all to hold in place. For double plate switches/outlets I had to cut down two pieces to make one to fit both and then taped them to hold them together. I hope this helps you to get them installed well. They are much better with the Adhesive back then without. The water outlets seem to small for mine since the contractors were lousy in their workmanship. I would like to see packs without any cut marks so you could custom cut them for odd situations.

Pros versus Cons
Pros- crazy easy to install, covers even the most awkward shaped holes in the wall around outlets, switches, etc., unbelievably effective at stopping cold air from seeping in, saves so much money on the electric bill, affordable, comes with more than enough to seal all light switches and outlets in a small to medium sized home (with regular outlets), and although I haven't used another type of insulating product--I can imagine that the non-adhesive type couldn't possibly seal as well as these do (literally air tight).Cons-you don't have these already, you've gone years without having these, you'll notice an enormous difference on your heating bill (I did, but I live in an older home that was super drafty from the outlets and switches) and be mad that you just now found out about these, you'll have to tell everyone you know about how great these are, you'll want to actually take the time to write a review just to praise this amazing product, you'll be ashamed at how easy these were to install and wonder how you've gone your whole life without these...

Seem to be good, but.......
These work much better than the one's without the sticky backs So far, they seem fine. I have sealed several of my covers, but until this week, it was warm out. Last night, however, it dropped to 50 degrees and I noticed that I didn't feel any cool air coming in around a specific light switch when I normally can at night. It may be awhile before I make a final decision, but so far, it seems better than without them. The only complaint I have is that there are a LOT of these like the lower left white rectangle with the rectangle cut out inside on the photo to the left. I have NO outlets like that. I expected some that I wouldn't be able to use without piecing something together, but there was, I felt, an inordinate amount of this particular style in my box. Time will tell if I run out of the types I need, but the do seem to work.I just wish you could order the ones you need so you don't end up with a bunch you don't.

Keeps Cold Air from Leaky Outlets Outside
Easy install with great results to keep cold air from inside walls seeping into your heated home in winter. Particularly noticeable in windy, cold climates on north-facing walls. Takes just a minute or two with a screwdriver to remove the faceplate and attach the sticky insulation. The insulation is a bit thick for my faceplates, so the faceplate may not be completely flush with the wall in places. This is not a significant problem unless you are obsessive. The less than perfect fit is not necessarily the fault of the insulation since your electrical outlets may be slightly angled. I don't think this will affect the seal -- it only affects it cosmetically. After the insulation compresses in a few weeks, I should be able to tighten the faceplate screw to make any misaligned faceplates flush with the wall.UPDATE: High winds may cause minor leakage through the plug openings which isn't the fault of this product, Child safety plugs that can cover these holes will solve this minor problem for unused outlets.Over time the insulation did compress and seal the faceplates. There is no leakage around the faceplate itself.

Great product, low price, better then big box stores.
I have used several different brands of this item all purchased form big box stores. I like this one better. Here is why.1. The sticky side is a nice touch. It makes it a lot easier to install and ensures a better seal.2. It is thicker then some of the brands available from the big box stores. If you are reading this and are on the fence about installing these at all its worth it if you have a home more then about 15 years old. Newer homes, perhaps post 1995 or so, and especially post 2005 have stronger air sealing.Good way to tell if you need these is to place your hand near a plug or switch during the winter. If you feel a slight breeze, these will help.

Great Product
Went on a energy saving binge a couple of months ago. Got aggressive with changing my electricity provider (energyogre.com does it for you if you are lazy and get distracted like I do) insulated all of my exterior wall sockets and switches with these, used the chimney draft stopper, and immediately cut my electricity bill by 60-70%. I would have never believed it. How much of the savings are attributable to this product I wouldn't guess, but it was part of an overall solution that was pretty amazing.
