Opaque acrylic is a strong, but lightweight material ideal for both in- and outdoor use. It has the same strength as glass, meaning it is breakable, but does not shatter. Additionally, acrylic plastics can be shaped by heat and are approved for food contact. Acrylic plastic sheets are easy to cut yourself - use a circular saw, jigsaw, handsaw or the like with a fine-toothed blade. The opaque or milky white color is ideal to break the light from a lamp as it makes the light diffusely, for instance. You will receive your acrylic sheets with a green transparent protective film on one side, and a clear transparent protective film on the other side.
