Worked great in garden
I tested this out in a covered section we are building in our garden for very young trees. It is perfect and when we did the test - we set it up before a high wind storm (we get a lot of these micro bursts in the summer) and it withstood the winds. This is perfect. We will have this setup again in the spring. I love this! Great solution for us needing shade for young trees but lots of sun for grown trees.

Effective sun protection - need to buy clips as well
This Sun Shade Cloth arrived in a compact and flat package, amusingly reminiscent of Nori sheets. The first thing that struck me about this product was its lightweight yet durable nature. Of course, it's a plastic tarp, with holes, but don't let that fool you. It's more than capable of standing up to the elements, providing excellent protection from the sun's harshest rays while still allowing wind to pass through, and not pull on the fasteners that much. The top and bottom strips are particularly sturdy, showing no signs of ripping or tearing even under considerable strain. Now, there are no grommets, which means you'll need to purchase separate clips to secure this tarp to your structure. I used these clips , and they worked perfectly fine to secure this to a chainlink fence - but note, their teeth will go through and puncture the cloth.

It's exactly as described. Easy to install and works beautifully!
This is so lightweight and easy to install. The amount of blocked sunlight is as described. A very good product.

Poor Design & Quality
There's no clean way to install this sun shade as there are no loops or rings to attach ropes or other fasteners to, so you have to jury-rig a solution. The netting pretty flimsy plastic, too, so I can't imagine it holding up with whatever installation method you improvise.

Not all seller photos in listing are of actual product
We full-time RV, and one of our slides has edge-to-edge windows. Great for light, bad for temperature regulation. When the sun is on that side of the trailer, we have the hardest time regulating the indoor temperature.I got this to hopefully filter out the sun and heat during super hot, sunny days. But, of course, I found it right before we hit a cold spell. So my review will be a little incomplete. I'm reviewing it based on receiving and checking out the product as received, but I can't review it for its intended use yet.First, let me address the received product versus the advertised images. The images with the green stitching on 2 sides and 2-inch vinyl trim with orange stitching on the other two edges is the product. There are no grommets/eyelets in the shade cloth for hanging; the images showing a cloth hanging above a carport, patio, garden, driveway, etc., are NOT the product. Again, just to be clear, there are no holes in any part of the shade cloth to assist with hanging.Second, the material is very similar to that of a trash bag. It is very shiny and thin and has a little bit of stretch due to how it is stitched. It reminds me of the plastic bags they sell onions in. I tested to see how durable the cloth was and if it would tear easily if snagged or pulled. While the stitching stretched slightly, the material stayed taught, ultimately, and resisted tearing. The product makes a mess when opened - small pieces of black poly fall out. And it is definitely not a pretty thing; this isn't going to be your first choice if you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing shade cloth for your patio or somewhere you entertain guests. But if you're looking for something to throw up on your RV windows when the sun is hammering in and your two air conditioners on full blast can't keep the rig cooler than 90 degrees in 80-degree outside temps, it seems it might do the job. I've included an image of the cloth draped over my monitor to demonstrate the advertised 60% light filtering. This is my Dell laptop monitor at 100% lighting, for reference.I've reduced star rating to 3 because the inclusion of images of different products by seller is misleading. There are no grommets/eyelets, as pictured, and the in-use images are clearly not the product being sold. You'll need to find a way to secure the cloth, and I can image many clips on the market would eventually cause damage to the thin material. The product seems cheaply made, but it is only $5.99, so that may be what you're expecting to receive.

Low-quality construction and no attachment hardware. Does the job in a pinch.
This is not a high-quality item, but it does reduce transmission of sunlight to lessen stress on plants or to just cut down on brightness in living areas. The material and weave give the impression of cheapness, the edge seams are shoddy, and there are no attachment points to secure this for use. This means you will need to devise your own way of putting this to use that will not damage the fabric especially in windy areas - options would include getting aftermarket clamps, sewing on eyeholes, sandwiching the fabric between wood slats, and so on. For the price, you get what you pay for - something that reduces sunlight transmission. The cost saving translates to more work on your part in the implementation and potential early replacement if it degrades faster than more expensive alternatives.

Meets my needs for plant shade
The shade was packaged in a vacuum sealed bag when arrived. The size of the mat is good. 6 feet 3 inches X 8 feet 9 inches.I will be placing it over an old green house that the cover fell apart. The material is not overly thick but looks as expected for the price. I did not expect it to be very thick. Two of the ends have added material so you can clamp onto to secure it.It would have been nice if it had more material on all edges, but it did not. Some eyelets to secure it would also have been a plus.Overall if you need a sunshade that you can use for a season, this may work for you.I do not expect to get more than a season from it since I live in Florida with the heat and strong sun.
