A little clumsy to use and wear but good value
Have used these on 3 camping trips. Good value for taking kids camping; they don't need expensive gear (yet). But the quality is aligned with the price. The light attachment to the headband is a little clumsy and sometimes the light falls off. The bright white light is almost too bright (and can temporarily blind other people) and you have to toggle through the white to get to the red night vision lights. That kinda defeats the purpose since you get bleached out by the brightness. But when we've adapted to the dark the red light works so well that I've been able to read books and maps with ease. Good value, not the best quality. Wish you didn't have to toggle through the white lights.

Use for taking the dogs on their walk at night.
We use these for traking the dogs for their walk at night. They are bright so people can see us walking.

Great deal for headlamps
Out of the three, one came defective, but the company's customer service was super fast and responsive! So, 4 stars!Pros: Suuuuper cheap and great for kids.Cons:1. The elastic band is a pretty cheap quality and when you pull the strap to place the light on your head, the light often falls off the band because the band stretches really thin. The back of the light has slits where the band can be inserted and the band is constantly slipping through the slits.2. You can't just turn off the light with one click. You have to cycle through all the modes in order to turn it off. For example, 1 click turns it on to full brightness, 2nd click is the dim setting, 3rd click turns on red light, 4th click activates blinking red light, and finally 5th click turns it off.

one of three went bad
One of the three of these turned on without me pushing the switch, and now won't turn off. I bought these to keep in my cars for emergencies after having to change a flat at night. I could have turned all three in for replacement, but what's the point trading the devil you know for the devil you don't? I don't want to get 3 new ones and have 2 go bad or always worry about whether I'm going to have one that works. I'm just going to buy nicer stuff that I can trust from the get-go next time.

Effective white and red light illumination. Simple, light and fully functional.
Great red light for astronomy! Good design and seems durable enough - amazing at this price. Only caveats: hard to find control button by feel until learn to find it by ridgy texture. And strap can slip out of molded brackets. A spot of hot glue fixes that.Plenty of light for walking at night. The red lights excellent for astronomy using telescope. Can read charts and printed text with red light.3 of these are cheaper than the heavy, rechargeable blindingly too bright headlamps that burn out too soon. The charge plug on those a weak spot that fails. With these little ones I have 2 spares for when one does break.

nice lights for walking and working
Great price for 3 headlamps! Overall they seem ok and will be fine for a walk in the woods, or for a work light. The cons- the head strap is really floppy and very stretchy and doesn't get very tight, so might not work that well for small heads. Also, the light does not lock in the upright/closed position, so when you bounce it angles down. If you position the light at a particular angle, again it does not stay locked in that position, so when you bounce it always opens fully. This is probably only a problem for cyclists and joggers, so I wouldn't recommend this light for those activities.

Cheap, but with some issues
Lots of very similar offerings. This one has two weaknessess. First, the light slips off the headband all the time. Seems like half the time I try to adjust the angle or brightness, it slips off. I should probably add some painter's tape to close the cut in the little bars that are supposed to keep the band and light connected. The second problem is there's only one switch. That means if you want the red light, you first need to go through white and bright white. Sort of defeats the purpose, if you're trying to protect your night vision, and that of those around you. Neither of these issue are had with a different, but also somewhat inexpensive head lamp that I bought elsewhere on Amazon.Light works fine. Haven't walked in rain, so I can not address waterproofing. But the light slipping off and the single button to control are both issues I would pay more to avoid.
