Even if you live in a very sheltered area, young hedging plants and tree saplings are best protected by a spiral and supported by a cane while they establish. If you have rabbits or deer in your area, your plants will need a spiral guard to prevent them being eaten. The spiral guard goes around both the plant and the cane, being supported by the cane at the same time. Spiral guards are effective against rabbits, vermin and deer nibbling through the trunks of young trees. A row of young hedge plants is like a set dinner for your local wild animals! Please note that spirals do not offer support by themselves – they need a cane for support unless the plant is already staked or well established. The canes are included in this pack. Happy planting! **Sorry, we are unable to deliver to the Scottish Highlands and any offshore destinations (including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, the Channel Islands etc.)** Key Features Pack of 100 Spiral Guards (60cm) Includes 100 Bamboo Canes (90cm) Perforated FAQ Are garden stakes included? Yes - this item includes both 60cm guards and 90cm canes. Are the guards harmful to animals? These are essential to protect any young hedges and definitely worth the investment. They aren't the prettiest things to look at but the transparent plastic helps minimise their visual impact. These were installed in March 2016, and so far have remained strong in some strong gales. They need to be left in place for three years to allow the hedge to develop, so I will provide some updates in the future on how they are performing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four Stars *by C***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 March 2018* quick service as described ### ⭐⭐⭐ Three Stars *by P***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 February 2017* Product fine, quick delivery. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/59005292-100-x-60cm-hedge-tree-spiral-guards-rabbit-shelter-100](https://www.desertcart.be/products/59005292-100-x-60cm-hedge-tree-spiral-guards-rabbit-shelter-100) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
