LINKA Original Smart Bike Lock - Black Art

I really like this lock it was a little expensive but well worth it and it's on my new moscow plus ebike witch was not cheap and I live in california whare bikes are stolen alot thay don't count how many are stolen every day because it's at least 100 and it is a small town about 100.000 people and I use my bike for transportation and have been riding since 2016 and I have not lost a bike yet and my new one will never be stolen if I can help it and I use 3 locks on this bike and always take the battery in the store with me even if I am only going for 1 thing I love that it stays on bike all the time and it sends me a message when it is moved I have only had it for 2 weeks but it was the first upgrade I put on the bike

Avoid!. I've ordered 3 Linka's - 2 of the standard ones and a leo (direct from Linka).Yes, I wanted to like this product so badly! I'm very techy, a gadget guy, able to follow complex manuals and mechanically inclined. Despite a lot of effort, I couldn't get it to work (or the others I ordered). Customer support is slow and only by email (the chat button in the app and on their website doesn't work in my experience). Lack of timely support, problematic hardware and a buggy app are not good when dealing with a gadget on the bleeding edge of current technology.

The first one didn't function properly, so I just used Amazon's excellent return policy, and returned it for another. The second one worked perfectly. I just let it charge overnight, and the next morning it was fully charged and ready to program. I just followed the video instructions, and VOILA... it was working. I attached it to my new bike with the supplied ties, and it was street ready. There's a little learning curve with the device, but if an idiot like me can figure it out, so can you. As this lock does not secure your bike to anything, I use this lock as a secondary source of security ONLY. If someone manages to get though my U-lock, they'll still have to CARRY away my bike with this thing attached!!

This lock is amazing. Definitely worth every single penny. My only concern is The zip ties Because I do not know if the lock is safe enough to stay on or not. And there’s also the fact When it arrived looks like it was taken out of the box then put in a packing envelope.

The media could not be loaded.  I have purchased 3 of these locks. From Linka Order Number: #01322 (placed on June 3, 2017 11:29AM PDT). First, I had trouble with the fitting of the lock on our bikes. We have mountain bikes and the flimsy tie wraps they give you to mount them to your bike fail . I ride my bike every day to and from work. The siren, which is supposed to be a deterrent has failed. After an exhaustive effort I was finally able to contact a member of customer support. Their online chat never had anyone available. I don't believe they use it. After sending in the video I am posting, I was told that the siren's failure was due to normal wear and tear. I have included my last email with their tech support. If the quality of the lock is such that after 2 years parts fail, I cannot in good conscience recommend this product.Kyle Zheng (LINKA Lock)Oct 21, 12:46 PDTHi David,Thanks for the comparison video. Glad to see you have two LINKA locks, so thanks for the support!It is quite clear that the siren volume is substantially lower from the first lock versus the second. It appears that you've been putting the lock through a lot of usage (a lot of riding, good for you!) and as with all consumer items, over a large number of heat and cold cycles, bumps in the road, as well as if it is rainy in your area, the plastic quality slowly degrades over usage. We have seen this with our internal testing, which we do to 10000 cycles. If this is the case, then we wouldn't be able to provide any replacement, but we will use this field usage knowledge for improving our product over each iteration.Hope this makes sense, and again, thank you for the support.-Kyle

I found if I did not use for 3 weeks or so I had to factory reset..Setting up is fairly easy, but it would be nice if I only had do it once..other then that it works great.

Dieses Linka Rahmenschloss ist eine TOP Ausführung. Leider liegt dem Schloss keine Bedienungsanleitung in Papieform bei. Ferner ist der Download der Linka App aus dem Internet und das Programmieren etwas missverständlich auf Deutsch beschrieben und die Bedienungsanleitung ist im Internet sowieso nur in Englisch erhältlich.Nach längeren Installationsarbeiten habe ich das Schloss ganz einfach mit 2 mitgelieferten Schrauben montiert und nun funktioniert es super.Ich kann dieses Schloss nur weiterempfehlen.
