ConnetixRainbow Ball Run Expansion Pack, 66 Pieces

This is a brilliant kit for anyone who loves the fun of magnetic tiles with the fun of a game like Marble Run! The box is big and very heavy (due to the magnetic pieces) and comes with a sleeve over it. Inside you'll find some magnetic tiles all which have a whole through them, in a box on the side, as well as clear plastic pieces in bags which are all the pathways or tubes that the balls will run on, as well as six wooden colour balls.This reminds me of Marble Run which I loved playing and building some years ago but this one is a bit more complex with the magnetic pieces. Each of the magnetic pieces is the same, and these can be combined with a load of other magnetic tile sets you can get to create some standing structures for your loops and tubes. The magnetic pieces do have little holes like slices in them for placing and connecting the tube sections to them, and once you get a feel for this you can spend hours trying to create some pretty elaborate structures for your balls to run through.This is known as an expansion pack and that's because there are only a few certain curvy shapes of tubing for the balls to run on. In the accompanying booklet that comes in this kit (which is like a catalogue of the different types of magnetic tile kits you can get) it shows a ball run with straight tubes. I'm assuming you can buy these too and then you can really create a lot of different ways for your balls to go. However, this kit has enough to create a few brilliant loops and drops so is a fun toy even with just buying this expansion set. A great toy which will give you (and has given me) hours of fun! Though at just under seventy pounds for this set, I do think it could have been a little cheaper.

This is a very well made, high quality finish toy. It contains magnetic squares, different sized tubes and colourful small balls.The game involves creativity, logical thinking and imagination to create a ball run maze. After building the ball run, the colourful balls go through the maze.There are numerous ways the maze can be made and my little one enjoys creating the maze with their father and watching the balls move through it.It is very well made so safe for my little one to play with although the balls are small so we supervise.I would certainly recommend this as it is unique because we can make our own ball run mazes.

Firstly, whilst this is an "expansion" pack you don't need to use it with other Connetix sets if you don't already own any. This set would ideally be used as an add on and with some base boards but it's not essential as everything you need to build working ball runs is included in this pack.The build quality and plastics used are excellent and as with previous Connetix sets I've been really impressed with the attention to detail and how everything fits together. The magnets are really strong and the colours of the plastic panels are quite vibrant. The Connetix sets are quite expensive, however they are one of the better types of magnetic building sets we've used as some sets just don't have the same quality and feel to them and don't connect together as well as these do.Whilst the age on these is 3+ this is mainly because of small parts but I would say these sets are aimed at kids a few years older if they are to get the most out of them and put constructions together themselves, although that's not to say adults can't have fun building these together with younger children. Overall this is a very nice addition to the Connetix range and highly recommended.

This CONNETIX Rainbow Ball Run Expansion Pack has 66 pieces in the set. The set is quite large and 66 pieces is a lot of details so actually this pack can be used as a standalone pack rather than expansion to other packs and games. The variety of details is nice and the colours are very vibrant. The game is engaging and fun, it takes time to start feeling bored of it. Hence, this set can provide hours of fun.The game is aimed at ages 3+ which is understandable as balls are not that large and could be swallowed accidentally. Once the parts are attached they stick together well so pulling them apart might require a helping hand from an adult.Overall, a really lovely set from Connetix.

Pieces stick together really firmly so kids might need a bit of help to pull them apart. Integrates well with other pieces in the set and provides hours of fun!

The plastic is non-toxic food grade and is BPA and Phthalate free.The set contains: 26 x Connecting squares, 2 x Double bowls, 6 x Right angle tubes, 6 x U shaped tubes, 8 x Spiral tubes, 2 x X tubes and 6 x Wooden balls in vibrant rainbow colours and clear fluted tubes.Your child can have hours of fun connecting the various pieces and running the colourful balls through the tubes. The magnets help create big designs, that can be expanded on with other packs. This set features three new pieces. This set will spark your child's imagination for building! It is great fun. It can help them explore concepts like motion, gravity, magnetic force, weight, stability and balance.It is compatible with the entire Connetix range as well as other leading magnetic tile brands. Recommended for ages 3 to 100! As your child gets older they can build even more complex builds. Try and reach the celling! It's a great idea / set, and something that parents and children can do together. Highly recommended.

Too few pieces were include in this expansion pack, considering the price. The tubes were also not that easy to fit together. I was not impressed with this expansion pack.
