This crucifix is a genuine work of art, created in the manner of Renaissance masters. As I walked in my California garden, I saw the sun dappling through an orange tree’s leaves. My eyes fell upon some random twigs, and the majesty of Christ’s Presence hit me. I snapped off a branch and carried it to my atelier. Within hours, I held a symbol of eternal life, the crucifix, in my hands. I thought back to my Catholic childhood, my Protestant mother, my Jewish roots, and lovingly placed a crown of thorns on the Lord’s head and spikes through his hands and feet. Then I used the lost wax method to cast it in 24K gold. The resulting crucifix is 2 and 1/2 inches tall and 1 and 3/8 inches wide, about 18 grams. Pictures cannot do it justice. Subsequently, I have made my crucifix with Christ’s head both slanted down to express His suffering for the sins of humanity and lifted up to express His hope for our Redemption. It can be made as you wish, and likewise bail and chain size can vary to your specifications. But please be patient; I am one man working alone to create Beauty to Honor Life.
