MAONO PD200XS XLR/USB Dynamic Microphone Kit, RGB Gaming Mic with Software

This microphone is genuinely INSANE. The fact it comes with a shock mount and its own boom arm for the price is amazing. The software is dope too being able to make the light dimmer is a huge plus, making a custom eq setting or using the presets they have,(which are awesome by default btw) connections great had no issues routing it through other audio softwares. The fact it’s better sound quality than the shure mv6 gaming mic I used for 2 years is actually crazy. 10/10 would recommend! This is a no brainer.

My son has been using it for his gaming setup, and he's absolutely thrilled with the results. After doing plenty of research on the variety of dynamic xlr microphones, I kept coming back to the Maono PD200X. Not only is the price point very competitive, but it has the option for USB, and XLR. My first few months of using this mic was through USB, and was told over and over by other gamers I have met that my voice was coming through so clear, and they would ask how that was so. Most people expected me to say it was a $400 mic, but when I told them it was not even 1/6th the price they couldn’t believe me. The mic and app were so easy to setup right out of the box, and it comes with a boom arm that clamps to your desk to free up space. As a new streamer, every inch of desk space matters so this was a plus for me. Since, I have swapped from USB to XLR as my new setup required it for my dual pc setup. And to add, the mic has some rgb, which lets be honest, is always a plus if your on camera. It has a convenient knob that’s easy to access for adjusting your volume and mute with a single press, and it turns red when your muted, so no second guessing, and green when your mic is active. I don’t usually leave reviews for products but I’ve had this mic for over a year now with daily use and have yet to encounter any issues, and still get compliments on the sound quality from both gamers, streamers, and viewers. If your looking to ditch the headset mic, and get a real mic that competes with the high end, but it priced on the lower end side, this is the mic for you.

I bought this microphone in Oct 2024 and for all that time it didn't sound quite right. It kept sounding a little muffled and had a pesky crackling sound. I lived with it for a year before troubleshooting the quality. I tried different XLR cables, different mixer, USB cables, a new PC, even tried a different brand microphone. It wasn't until last week that I read somewhere to download the Maono software, click "update firmware" in the top right of the window, and that 100% fixed everything. The microphone sounds crystal clear now, amazing. It's a five-star microphone, no doubt, just frustrating that updating the firmware wasn't recommended immediately after opening.

Excellent producto y adjustable

My Akai Professional MPC Key 61 is already a slam-dunk dynamo but when it comes to microphones this piece of black metal bratwurst is made for more than just podcasts! It is a fine addition to my music studio equipment! While the LED lighting is just for show it adds pizzazz to its visual appeal. I had Googled for microphone suggestions for my keyboard described here but those suggestions are uncomfortably too expensive. When I stumbled into this particular microphone at Amazon I figured it would be worth a try. And a big bargain it is! The clarity is so crisp that I thought my headphones were hearing aids! The microphone gave trouble with no sound output to the speakers at first but I quickly figured out that it was the workstation keyboard I connected the microphone to that needed adjustments with the audio track in the computer project file. So the initial problem was not the microphone but the reception of the latter by the workstation keyboard. A music production workstation synthesizer keyboard such as the Akai Professional MPC Key 61 requires adding an audio track to the song project file, set the external input routing to the input jack the microphone is connected to by setting it to "Input 1" and set the recording enable switch. Don't set the audio track input to "Input 1,2" or you will only hear your voice from one of the two speakers. Lastly, Maono should pack an XLR audio cable for hooking up to the desired device the voice is recorded into along with the USB cable.

The sound quality when recording is poor unless you download and turn on the Maono app. This requires always being sure to run the app before you begin recording.

J’utilise ce micro depuis quelques mois pour différents projets personnels, aussi bien sur PC que sur Mac. La connexion en USB/USB-C est pratique et je n’ai rencontré aucun problème de coupure jusqu’à présent. La qualité du son est bonne, le bras fourni fait bien son travail et le bouton Mute est vraiment pratique au quotidien. J’ai également testé le logiciel MAONO, que je trouve plutôt simple à utiliser. Le seul petit point qui pourrait être amélioré concerne le bouton de gain : je trouve qu’il n’est pas toujours évident de savoir rapidement si le niveau est suffisamment monté ou baissé. Dans l’ensemble, je suis très satisfaite après plusieurs mois d’utilisation. Il est complet, pratique et fonctionne aussi bien avec mon PC qu’avec mon Mac.

Muy contenta con este micrófono. Es el primero que compro de este tipo y aún estoy aprendiendo a sacarle partido, pero ya he visto que capta bien mi voz y no se registran los ruidos de fondo del espacio donde grabo.
