My 2 youngest daughters have particularly sensitive scalps - hair brushing time is always very dramatic, with lots of crying, begging, and blood-curdling screams. There is no such thing as being gentle enough, but this brush makes it better. I have found that the pain is mostly from individual hairs pulling, because they actually like the feeling of this brush on their scalp. A tip that makes like a little easier is to smooth just the hair on the scalp, then put the rest into a ponytail, and brush just that hair - the tightness of the hairband minimizes the hair pulling directly on the scalp. It is getting better as they get older (they are almost 7 now), and they can brush their own hair, though not very thoroughly. We have 3 of these brushes so there is always one around.

Family and I do not like. I thought it was great deal for 2 and reviews were good but... My 18 month old hates it I hate it and even my fiance doesnt like it for his short hair. It's uncomfortable on your scalp does horrible for tangles and even pulls your hair more. We use a regular wet brush and it is awful compaired to that.

Bought this for human hair, but the curve of this brush makes it ideal for brushing my dogs!

My son hates to have his hair brushed/combed, with this brush it doesn't snag or pull at his hair and he tolerates it much better.

Slightly awkward to hold since it’s so big feeling. But nothing to complain about really. My kids love these brushes and it makes all of our lives a little easier!

These brushes are awesome! My husband has SUPER long hair and hes the reason I really bought them. But I use the pink one and I love it! He threw his old brush away after he used this one, one time! Now we dont have to rip out hair out when we brush it!
