No five stars here because of size. King protector is verrrrrrry big for our king bed. It also is hard to wash/air dry because it's so large and due to material. The material seems to be very protective, however it does leave a large pocket of air between mattress and cover. Almost like sleeping on a bubble. So, we had to work the air out and seal it back up. Zipper definitely seems sturdy and has Velcro closure at the end of the zipper. 4 stars for us.Update: the seam has ripped with a little bit of wear and tear and zipper broke off on 10/9. We have not had it that long and it's past the return window. Disappointed.

it says it is quiet... but you can absolutely still here it. it does feel like plastic on the inside layer, the outside layer feels like thin bed sheet, so its not plastic like once its on and zipped up. some people complained about air pocket, well yeah of course! its plastic! just unzip. roll out the excess air. and zip back up. nothing to complain about. some say its not waterproof just water resistant. hope to never put it to the test , i need this for my chronic flair ups and allergic reactions, i'll deal with the plastic sound but the word "quiet" is subject to self opinions. its not THAT quiet. but its not as loud as opening up a bag of chips. 79$ isnt to bad for the 3 piece. life time warranty i'll put that to the test if it rips or tears in a few years or stains with body oils.
