Marugoto: Japanese Language and Culture Elementary1 A2 Coursebook for Communicative Language Competences Rikai (Japanese Edition)

I am very happy with the Marugoto series! It is well designed for both classroom and self-study. For those who are familiar with WIDA's "can-do" philosophy, you will be quite familiar with the assessment system used in this book. Marugoto is produced by the same people who offer the JLPT exams, and there is a wealth of learning resources available for free though their website. I really enjoy working with these books, and I can not wait for the rest of the series to be published.

This is a good book by the Japan Foundation. Goes great with the Minato online self directed course (free) and with the instructor led course for level A2-1. It is an easy to use format with lots of variety of activities and some grammar explanations.

Marugoto ist an sich ein gutes Lehrbuch, mit dem ich inhaltlich gute Erfahrungen gemacht habe. Nutzen die Reihe in unserem Japanischkurs an der Uni. Leider ist es als E-Book fürs Kindle kaum zu gebrauchen, da es nicht möglich ist, auf den Seiten zu schreiben und die Aufgaben so zu bearbeiten (nutze ein iPad Air 5. Generation). Zudem kann das Buch in keinem anderen E-Bookreader gelesen oder das Dateiformat umgewandelt werden. Das einzige Praktische ist, ist dass ich auch reinschauen kann, wenn ich das Buch vergessen oder gerade nicht dabei habe. Musste mir das Buch nun noch mal als Hardcopy kaufen.

Although content of these series is great I definitely do not recommend to buy this book in the Kindle Store.I have never experienced on Kindle any flaws except with this book.It is hard to go to the next page, pages turn automatically, even when selecting a page from the table of contents it does not always go to this page or does not stay on that page.Additionally one cannot make notes, highlight text, etc. Critical features to use in a schoolbook I would think.Sad to say in 2021: Buy the hard copy.
