Why is Paper the First Wedding Anniversary Gift? There aren't many decent gifts which are made out of paper. I spent ages trawling the internet looking for ideas without success, so I decided to make my own... The two hearts shown in the frame are made from 100% recycled paper and have been hand painted with the couples initials. The hearts measure approx 4' x 3'. Each one is handmade and completely unique. They are fitted inside a 10' x 8' black frame with a mount for a 7' x 5' photo. This was originally made as a 1st Wedding Anniversary gift but a number of our friends have commented on how nice it is and I have been asked to make more.
