Impressive EDC Flashlight
The build quality is excellent; on par with brands that are better known and perhaps a bit better than some of those brands. The finish is equally well done; smooth semi-gloss black anodizing with even thickness over the entire body of the ED08. Fairly aggressive cross-hatched grooves on the main body and the side of the tail cap give the user excellent grip, while also giving the ED08 a nice looking tactical appearance. Both ends will unscrew from the main tube body and feature well cut square (anodized) threads. Screwing/unscrewing either end (head or tail) is smooth and trouble-free, but there is very little (if any) lubrication on the ED08 that I have. The end of the tail cap has a U cutout shape to facilitate access to the lone switch. The sides have slots for attaching the included lanyard. Inside the tail cap is a very stout spring; it is gold colored, but I do not know if it is gold-plated. The ED08 will tail stand, but it isn't stable in such a position (made worse with the lanyard attached). The head features a smooth bezel (probably stainless steel) that doesn't appear to be removable (probably glued). The reflector (metal filmed) is smooth and relatively deep for the size of the ED08. The lens is coated, tempered, mineral glass.Included in the package:ED08 flashlightLitesam branded 14500 rechargeable battery (750 mAh)LanyardClipSpare tail switch coverSpare O-ringsHolsterOwner's manualThe holster (and lanyard) are of good quality, with the holster capable of taking a belt up to 2 and ¾ inches wide. The clip is removable but it will take some force to remove it (not likely to dislodge by accident). The spring portion (part that attaches to a pocket) is adequate, but just a tad too weak for my personal tastes. The ED08 will operate on a single AA battery; albeit at outputs that are lower than the rated outputs found on the outer cover of the package (and owner's manual).Operating the ED08 is simple and straightforward: half press the tail switch for momentary on and to advance through the 5 modes. The modes are circuitous; High, Medium, Low, Strobe, SOS, and then back to high. Fully press and release the tail switch to turn the flashlight on or off.The ED08 features mode memory (works for all 5 modes) temperature protection, and over-discharge protection. Litesam also offers an impressive 5 year warranty on the Ed08.The ED08 is more throw than flood, but does offer very good peripheral vision. Rated at a maximum distance of 165 meters, the effective distance is just a bit north of 100 meters (very impressive for the size of the ED08). The light temperature (to my eyes) is just a bit cooler than neutral, but certainly not what I'd consider a cold color. With a maximum output of 700 Lumens, the output of the ED08 is amazing. At 3.93 inches (length) the ED08 easily fits into the average pocket. It is slim (about the diameter of a dime) and unobtrusive, yet fully capable of producing an amazing amount of light when needed. On low, with a full battery, it will run for up to 8 hours straight – at an output that is still brighter than most ordinary flashlights. It's also waterproof to 2 meters (submerged) and impact resistant to 2 meters – meaning it will take a lot of daily use and keep coming back for more. It's 5 stars for me.

Super bright!
I wasn’t really expecting too much from such a small flashlight, but this thing is BRIGHT!! I got it for my dad because hes been working under his lake house and I thought having a small flashlight that could get wet would be handy. It came with a battery, so that was awesome. It also comes with a pouch and an extra button. It feels very sturdy so it seems very durable. I tested it out by putting it in a bowl of water just to make sure, and sure enough it worked! It’s also still working and I did that test a day ago! I put a picture of it under water and then one after I pulled it out and it was still all wet. This flashlight has one “on”’setting, but if you don’t click the button down all the way it has a strobe feature. It fits really well in the palm of your hand. It does say that after extended use it gets very hot. We had it one for a few minutes at a time and it never got hot. This is a great flashlight when you need a bright light, but don’t want a heavy big thing to have to carry around.

Litesam makes good lights
This is my second flashlight from this brand. I was very impressed with the other light I got, so I figured this one would be a good addition to my collection. It does not disappoint. It's super bright, and very compact. It uses a Lithium Ion battery so you can get a lot of light in a small product. The battery is also nice because it is rechargeable. It does not come with a charger though, so be aware of that. You can use the light with a AA, but i don't think it would be as bright. I have a universal battery charger that works great for recharging the included LiIon battery.Just like the bigger light that I already had from Litesam, the construction of this light is excellent. It is waterproof and drop resistant to 2m so that covers most anything you'll put it through. You can also dim the light, for when you are working with something close up and don;t want to be blinded. This is a all around great carry light.

Bright, easy to carry EDC flashlight Litesam ED08 700 lumens from one 14500 battery, also runs on one AA battery
This Litesam ED08 runs on one AA or one 14500 Li-Ion battery with an output of 700 lumens. For a budget-priced EDC (everyday carry) flashlight, this one packs a lot of light into a small easy to carry package. This one came with a rechargeable battery but can also use easy to find AA batteries. The tail switch does have a memory. The strobe is an added bonus for me. An extra switch cover and O ring come packed in the belt sheath. I only tested this with the supplied battery and not an alkaline battery.Check out my pics below. The night shots give a good demonstration of its output.added 5/23/2018 I have 5-6 other similar single cell AA lights like this one. I used it again today and like it the best of all the other ones like it.
