You cannot use this adapter with a case on your laptop. They need to redesign to fit computer with case.

I have a 2016 MacBook Pro with touch bar and I need an adaptor to connect my old devices to my laptop - this great little hub does all the jobs!! I have a portable hard drive using USB 3.0 and a SD card for my camera, the transfer speed is fast using this hub. I also have a 2k DELL monitor, the HDMI port works perfectly with that. Definitely a solid product with all necessary ports....highly recommend!!

Lovicool　の心意気を買いたいのは、他社製品が自社ロゴをこれ見よがしにプリントするところ、Macユーザーの心を汲んで　自己主張しない製品を売り出していることだ。素材も色も殆ど完璧なスペースグレイを再現している、買ってみると、光の反射が全然ちがって同じとは思えないメーカーも多いので、素晴らしい。この完成度はLovicool社とLENTION社とでしか見たことは無い。LENTION社のシェルケースを付けたまま装着できるか、事前に聴いてみたが、担当さんも親切である。こちら浮くけど着くと思うというはなしであったが、製品もタイトに出来ているので認識に不安定さんを感じたので、シェルケースの１部を加工してしっかり着くようにした。ちょっとHDMIのケーブルが足りなくなったので、LENTION社のアダプタをThunderboltに接続しても、モニターがちゃんと映る。タイムセールも時々行われるそうなので、同種のアダプターを買おうと思っている人にはお勧めする。安い買い物にはならないので、長く愛用できるアクセサリーを選ぼう。2018/03/11　追記ドック型の宿命として本体のからの熱伝導があってか、本製品の　Thunderbolt端子につないだ　TimeMachine用の4THDD　とストレージバックアップ用の4THDDを格納しているベイケースとの接続や、ワイヤレスマウスの電波が不安定になってきたので、LENTINOS 社　の　ケーブル付きアダプタに切り替えた。スマートさは申し分ないので出先で使うアイテムにしようと思う。
