Cardboard with some cork
Is literally corrugated cardboard with a millimeter of cork spread onto it, works only slightly better and might last slightly longer than plain old cardboard, plus it comes with another issue:The four sides of the frame loosen and pop-off under very little weight, though this can be easily remedied with two shots from a staple gun on the shared faces of each joint, perpendicular to the meeting line.Should I have expected top-quality cork boards at this price point? No. Could the average 12-year-old make a few slightly smaller ones that work about as well while only being less aesthetically pleasing, out of the box it came in, in about 10-15 minutes? Yes of course.

Quality of Product
I liked the package price of 6 boards. I use them to do jigsaw puzzles. They are the right size for 1000 piece jigsaws. I use two at a time, one for the puzzle and the other for the pieces. They are light and can be stacked easily and I can turn them on a card table very easily. Perfect product for doing jigsaw puzzles. Good price for the product.
