Good set - lovely packaging
Nice refined, good quality salt and pepper setCome in a very fetching box, so will make a lovely giftThey’re easy to fill, just unscrew the metal grommet from the top and pout in from the topPrice wise, I’d say they’re a little on the expensive side, but just like with anything else in life, you get what you pay for, these are an exceptionally good quality set, if you’re buying for a gift then they will certainly impress

Premium quality
These Cole & Mason salt and pepper mills are beautifully crafted from beechwood. They're very good quality and noticeably better than cheaper mills like a supermarket own brand. They grind perfectly and are simple to refill.

Lovely… but spendy
These are lovely salt and pepper grinder/shakers - they come beautifully presented in a gift box, and the wood is gorgeous. It’s almost soft to the touch. But, whew, these are expensive. You’d have to REALLY love salt and pepper to choose them. But, if you have the pennies (all four thousand five hundred of them) they’re lovely and they’re so well made they’ll probably last 30 years. And the brand, for the record, is a lovely one. I’m just still slightly taken aback by the price.

Very Nice salt mill
I always wanted a salt mill and even though this salt mill is kind of small (I took a picture of it next to an 8.5x11 pack of notebook paper). I am still glad that I bought it. This salt mill is ridiculously easy to fill, and to test it, I filled it to the top with pink Himalayan sea salt and it handled it just fine. It is made of actual wood and not plastic and the wood used gives it a real elegant appearance. It’s smooth to the touch, and the color is a kind of light tan, so it can fit almost any kitchen decor.I would love to see this sold in twos (one for salt and one for pepper) instead of being sold alone. I think that having another for pepper that is a little darker would be great, but as of the writing of this review, this salt mill is sold alone. There were no problems with this product when I bought it and I doubt if there will be any in the future. The workmanship is excellent and the minute you pick this product up, there is not a shower of salt that comes out like other salt mills that I have seen. I give this product 5 stars. The salt that I put in is coarse and it handles it just fine, even after I filled the salt mill up completely with it. So I have no problems with it other than it not being sold with a companion for pepper. So 5 stars I plan on using this for a long time.

Goldilocks of Peppermills!
This review is for the Cole & Mason London 180mm Natural Beech Pepper Mill. Many English speakers may be familiar with the tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, in which an illbred, willful child trashes the woodland home of three furry forest creatures. I have three Cole & Mason pepper mills: 104mm, 180mm, and 300mm. The 104mm is too small, the 300mm is too large, the 180mm is just right. The 180mm Cole & Mason has replaced the well loved antique pepper mill on my dining table. The Cole & Mason grinder is much easier to load and grinds just as well, if not better. To my taste the Cole & Mason London series of mills are most attractive. Of the available finishes I prefer natural beech and red gloss. Others' tastes may vary.High quality. Five stars. If anyone is wondering, I put allspice berries in the little 104mm mill. It might be confusing as the knob on the mill is marked 'P'. However since allspice is also known as pimento, everything works out OK.Again, Cole & Mason make great mills.

A nice addition to my salt and pepper mill collection
This is another pretty, but hard-working salt mill from Cole & Mason. I have several of their mills, including the one that has flips over for salt on one side and pepper on the other (which is one of my favorite kitchen tools ever!), and I would compare all of them favorably to my ancient Peugeot workhorse of a pepper mill. This beech wood wood would look pretty in any style of kitchen. Mine is sort of farmhouse-ish, but I think it would look just as good in modern or traditional surroundings.I have a bunch of salt mills now because I love using different types of salt which I try to color-code to the mill. This one is perfect for the pale yellow Citrus Salt I get from Sea Love Sea Salt company.I'm already as happy with this salt mill as I have been with all of the Cole & Mason mills I've collected over the years

A beautiful piece with simple elegance
Everyone needs salt and pepper in their kitchen and often on their table. Why not dress up the experience of seasoning your food? This pepper mill is a beautifully made piece and the light wood color is classic, fitting into many styles of kitchens/dining areas. The lifetime warranty is a major selling point because this pepper mill is a little pricey. You can look at it as a one time investment that comes with insurance! The mill is east to fill and the grind adjustment is simple for each dining person to adjust quickly for their preference. I do wish the finest grind would be even smaller, but I’m very picky about that. The only other negative note is the packaging. It doesn’t match the quality of the mill and starts off the experience of unwrapping on a lower level, especially if you’re gifting. Overall, I’m very happy with this pepper mill and look forward to using it for many years to come!
