If you are discouraged from reading the KING JAMES Bible because of some outdated words, then this Bible is for you. The KJVER follows the KJV word for word. It replaces clearly archaic words with modern equivalents. Other words that have changed meaning over time but still in use are underlined with the updated word at the end of the verse.Also specific to this Bible is the spoken words of God in the OT in red just like the spoken words of Christ in the NT.The sword study bible has many articles in the back that are worth reading & studying. One important thing is this: some of the articles and some of the words that are at the end of a verse as a word help you might not like. I’ve ran into that and it’s ok. Those articles and word helps aren’t the Bible.Another thing is the change the Thee, Thy, Ye, You, etc to just you & your, but they add a supscript p right after the ones that replace Ye, You, & Your to signify that it is plural. No other modern Bible does that.Lastly; I have compared some readings with the NKJV that my pastor reads in church. Some of the reads flow better in the KJVER than the NKJV. Other times the NKJV flows a little better than the KJVER. The reason is that they are both trying to sound like the Elizabethan English of the KJV.I would highly recommend using the KJVER to help you better understand the KJV & help you to transition to reading the KJV on it’s own.And may God bless you!

I love that they took out the thee's and thou's and added some quick definitions of words. Just brilliant! The size and font is great. This part is a definite 5 stars.The things I'm not crazy about - They have references like G4K ___434 on the side of the page, and then you have to go to a chart to see what scripture that is 1Tim2:9....why didn't they just put the scripture there instead??? It would save so much time. They could rework the chart or even just leave it as is. The other thing I dislike - the quality of the paper. This gets one star. I've had the bible for a 6 weeks and it looks like it's 10 years old on the inside. The paper absorbs every drop of moisture from the air and your hands. It even has absorbed color from the attached ribbon bookmark. None of my other bibles do this and I've been buying bibles for over 35 years! My books always look brand new for years, I'm not hard on them. So, if you love a brand new bible to look ancient - this is the book for you!

Handy size, text is large enough to be legible without readers. Delving and munching the Word God with this easy-to-carry and easy-read version. I love it!!

What can I say about this bible? I wish they would put it back in print, just this size (and color).I love the way this book has been organized. It is "user-friendly." For instance a word which has a meaning people today may not know is underlined in nearly every passage. If you look at the end of the passage in smaller print on the right you will see a synonym for the underlined word.It has other nice features too. But for me, the most special feature is that of all my bibles this seems to be "the one" that gives me meaningful bible verses when I just open the pages at random not knowing where to read. While I believe reading the entire bible is the best policy, (and I'm working on it!), it's also really, really nice to just open it up and see what it has to say. I believe that, for me, the good Lord Jehovah has chosen this bible as my "opening at random" bible!I still think of the Cambridge King James Version as the "standard" but this KJVER (KJV Easy Reader) is a joy to me!

This is my first purchase of a paperback in the KJVER and I actually purchased two paperbacks. This is the only bible that not only has the words of Jesus in red, but the words God speaks in the old testament are in red too. Also the H's are capitalized. That really means a lot when you loot at any KJV by any publishing company and if God is being talked about or quoted, or Jesus is being talked about, or quoted, the Sword says "He said" and I have a KJV study bible I like the notes to, and have used this bible and a red colored pencil to put God's words in red and I have capitalized the H's in both testaments. These are my first paperbacks but I personally own several of these that are no longer in print of the very large leather editions and I also own them in the KJV, but I prefer the KJVER and have given several away as gifts. These also have unfamiliar words underlined and defined for an easier understanding. A really good bible to own. I have and will always recommend the Sword KJVER bibles.

I love this bible. It is my favorite. I was having difficulty reading my other Bible due to my eyes aging. It has large print, good study tools, red lettering. I just think it is beautiful. I also like that it is a little wider in size and not as thick. It lays out nicely. I recommend it. Beautiful. The only slight downside is thinner pages, but I am just careful with it. I don't hi-light the pages with normal markers it does go through and is visible on the back side of the page. I have marked lightly with a pen and that seems okay.

Having bought the paperback version and liked it I have now bought this purple leather like cover one. Easier to read than the KJ itself as all the old English words have been changed to their modern equivalent. A list of the word changes is at the front so it is easy to see what has been changed. Good maps and study notes, time lines, lists etc. Cross ref is very good you can follow a theme throughout the bible. Print is not what I would call large just comfortable about a 10.5 point.

Amazing Bible at a fantastic price. Build quality is lovely, I have had Bibles that I paid more for and been left disappointed but I can honestly say this Bibles build quality exceeds any expectations I had. What they do not mention in the description is the wealth of information in the back pages that show how the Bible is the Truth and how true science actually supports the Bible. All Christians should buy one of these!

Arrived very quickley. Very good quality although not real leather. Was almost going to give 5stars but a bit disappointed with the size of the text is is biggish but I thought it would be bigger, however an excellent size of a bible and very light to carry and use. Would recommend it.

Got this for my son - he loves it and uses it all the time. Great for study the Word as a teenager

The Bible is in large text but the study notes are a smaller font I find difficult to read. It's unfortunate as the study section looked like it had a lot of great information. The cover is a nice soft texture. This beautiful Bible will make a great gift to someone seeking answers and wanting a deeper understanding. My nephew has been antagonistic in his approach to Christ, but he's asking deep and thought provoking questions. He wants the answers and this Bible can help him.After ignoring the computer for a few days I was able to read the smaller print sections and realized the study sections were ideal for youth entering college or people questioning their faith . It talks about the historical accuracy of the scriptures in regards to the KJV debate and it has a thorough discussion on recent scientific discoveries. The study section gives a logical argument for creationism and uses science to support it.
