I really don't know how many stars to give it. I just went through it on the "archives.com" website where they have these transcriptions of books typed by blind monkeys racing against a stop watch or something. What I was looking for were my ancestors, of whom Samuel Allen of Windsor was the father, grandfather, great-grandfather, etc and were the twp oldest of the ones who moved to Northampton, MA with their mother Ann soon after their father died. I didn't find any of THEIR descendants. The descendants all seemed to be centered around the ones that lived in Connecticut around Windsor, Enfield, Litchfield, Middletown. So if you are looking for the descendants of Samuel or Nehemiah, I don't think you will find them in here. I'm not sure j but I think they were all descendants of Samuel's son John, who married Mary Hannum, and who was killed by Indians at the Battle of Bloody Brook in S. Deerfield, MA in 1675.. Mary moved back to Northampton, and her two sons Samuel and John both returned to Enfield, Connecticut. I don't know why he stuck with those descendants, maybe he wanted them to be in Connecticut because that's where Samuel, the immigrant, settled and where he died and is buried.I think it should be specified that these are only the descendants of the son John. I'm not SURE I'm right, though. You could go to the "archives.com" website and check. But be prepared for tremendous giggles. The bad typing comes up with hilarious words, particularly names, which were weird back then anyway! Often flying fingers throw symbols into the names, as well as wrong letters, so they look like ancient Egyptian. No kidding, I couldn't stop laughing! The OTHER book about the Allens of Nantucket on "archives.com" is in book form, identical to the original book with lots of cool portraits. Actually, they are pretty hilarious, too! That would be a good book to buy. As you can see, they have it here on Amazon. Totally different Allen line. That book has tons of cool stories about near disasters that happened to certain Allens over the generations as well as reports of their achievements.
