These chainmail voiders are panels of dome-riveted titanium flat rings. Being made of titanium they weigh much less than normal steel rings with a weight more comparable to aluminum instead of heavier steel. Unlike aluminum however, the rings are as strong as steel. Voiders can also be stitched onto the shoulders, sides and along the armpit of a gambeson or some leather armors to improve the defensive quality of the garment.
