Great ant farm but the light doesn't work, extremely disappointed 5 year old

I wasn't too amazed with this kit. All of the ants we caught could escape - guess I need to purchase ants from a store to use it. When we managed to get some to stay they died after a few days. Overall not impressed, think its more suited to USA.

Great idea, much tidier and fuss free than the other ant farms i have bought. This was Bought for the kids (age 4&6) ....First batch of ants went in and they did venture into the pre dug tunnels but sadly they were all dead within 3 days?! Next batch now been in for 2.5 weeks and still going strong. They have dug a wider tunnel and dragged eggs into tunnels with them. Light works but i havent checked effect in dark as keep forgetting. Kids lost interest (as they do!) after 3 days! Grown ups still intrigued!

Great little inexpensive gift. Only problem is its American, so need to source ants from UK which appear to be about £15, bear this in mind when buying!

I Bought this for my daughter who is currently interested in bugs, thinking it would be a good idea. I attempted to introduce ants to this 3 times now with no success. They all died within a couple of days. I have now bought a more conventional ant farm which is much better. The only use I have for this ant farm now is as a novelty lamp.

Christmas present. Haven't used it yet, but well received.

I was really impressed with this - I bought 2 as stocking fillers for my 5 and 7 year old- they are well made and you can actually see the projected image of what you put inside on the ceiling!! Best Buy!! I can't wait for summer so we can actually put ants inside and watch them crawling on the ceiling!!!
