Great small bluetooth speaker.
I purchased the Klipsch bluetooth speaker based on a NYTimes wirecutter recommendation. I am very happy with it. I think the sound is great, size is just what I was looking for, design is nice and operation is dead simple. I really like the volume control wheel and overall retro vibe of the walnut option.

This is what you want!
But this one!So, I was tired of “just another Bluetooth speaker”…..they all make the digital noise louder, ya know? But what I was after was a speaker with “presence”…..like, I don’t want to have to make it loud to hear everything! This little gem has presence like a stereo system far bigger than its little case. It can be quiet, and you’re gonna hear every little tinkle and sound…..turn it up, and you’ll feel it on your skin and in your chest. Is it better than some giant tower speakers? Of course not. But, I’d stack it up against most bookshelf systems! Plus, I can string them together……so multiple rooms are about to get this.Really excellent work, Klipsch. Best stereo thing I’ve probably ever purchased…..including my Bose stuff.

Nice and solid
Very substantial: it is hefty and appears well made. Easy to set up and control via the Klipsch app. The sound quality is good, but not outstanding. I had an older Klipsch docking system that lasted for years, but it honestly sounded a bit better. Overall good quality for the price.

Great sound
I was using a Bose Sound link speaker. It works fine and sounds ok but was looking for something better. This speaker has a better and bigger sound which works better for my family room. The bluetooth works great. The app connected easily. I was able to get this on sale during Amazon's spring sale. Definitely recommend.

Broadcast Mode Needs Improvement
I bought one of these speakers from Klipsch. It worked pretty well and sounded decent. I had no trouble with connecting it to my laptop and it automatically re-connected (via Bluetooth) whenever I re-booted. I bought a second one of the speakers, but it was a mistake. Initially, it took 30 minutes of hassling with Bluetooth and the speaker control buttons to be able to connect them using Klipsch's Broadcast Mode. It was a bit frustrating, and it isn't actually stereo. Now, whenever the laptop is turned off (or goes into sleep mode), I have to go through a factory reset of the primary speaker, remove a re-add the Klipsch Audio device in Bluetooth and finally fiddle around for 5-10 minutes to get Broadcast Mode working again. Then you still have to remember to change the playback device in Windows' Sound Control options. In the end it takes up to 15 minutes to get both speakers working together (still only in Mono) over and over again. This takes a lot of the fun out of listening to movies, music, etc. I'm not certain why Klipsch hasn't implemented TWS for these speakers, but I'm hoping that they can at least improve Broadcast Mode.

Perfect Sound
These sound fantastic! We listened to those Sonos speakers for like 800 bucks and a few other higher price point brands and I just wasn’t impressed enough to spend that much…these sound exactly the same if not better. I listen to all types of music SUPER loud and they are crystal clear. The app you can control them with works great as well.

Aux input does not work, clunky volume control, mediocre sound quality lacking any bass
The Klipsch speaker is too expensive for a device that has mediocre sound quality and a defective aux input that doesn’t work. It is not just my review that notes the lack of an aux input, now that I have done a deep dive through the Amazon reviews, I see that many other users also noted this inherent defect with the Klipsch aux input. Why does Klipsch continue to sell a product that it must know is inherently defective? Without a properly functioning aux input, the user is left to connect the device using Bluetooth, but the sound quality through Bluetooth is not that great – in fact, it is only marginally better than from my Echo device that I use to send music to the Klipsch speaker. Among other things, the Klipsch speaker completely lacks any discernable bass sound. And yes, in fairness to Klipsch, they do sell another speaker, at nearly twice the price, that supposedly improves on bass performance. But when you can buy a soundbar with a subwoofer for barely $100 these days, having to spend nearly $400 with tax for the Klipsch upgrade device that supposedly has improved bass performance would not seem to be a smart purchase, either. It would have been interesting to see if the sound quality would have improved using the aux input, but there is no way of knowing since the Klipsch aux input does not work, which is very disappointing. Finally, and while a lesser concern, I don't understand what Klipsch was thinking with the audio control, it has a series of clicks and the user has to spin the dial a long time in order to adjust the volume. My 50-year-old Pioneer stereo receiver that one can buy on ebay for a nominal amount, and which has a traditional dial knob to adjust the volume, provides a far better user experience than the volume control on the Klipsch device. In short, this Klipsch speaker, with its non-functional aux input port, is a disappointing product, particularly at the high price point.
