UPDATE: Went to check this the other day and it doesn't work - at all!! No alarm!! It sure won't help me if something were to happen!! Cannot depend on this item!!Haven't had to use it. I'm not as happy with its design as one I bought many years ago. I think the reinsurance pin on a cord is too convenient for the attacker to plug it back in. I don't think there's enough time to think about tossing the cord away from you during an attack. So, unless you are actually practicing for an attack, I think it's not great. But, having said all that, it sure beats not having anything. Hence, the four stars, now lowering to one star.

Bought this for my elderly grandmother so her husband could hear her when she needed assistance. It's easy to operate and very loud. She likes being able to wear it on her wrist.

I like the size and color. The flashlight is handy. An added sense of security.

To bad we need to carry these but great to have
