Onyehn 5A 12-40V PWM DC Motor Speed Controller with Switch

I am using this to power my camera slider. It does everything I need it to: speed control, direction control, and nothing extra. A well built and inexpensive little box.

Amazon should remove this item from their inventory. I tried two of them. It might as well be an on/off switch because it doesn't work as a rheostat. MAYBE it would work at lower voltages, but it is rated for 40V and DOES NOT WORK with that.

It does not work .it even has the word bad written in black magic marker on the bottom

It does what it was designed to do. I use it to control some 12v fans for ventilation on a cabinet.Update 3 years later it’s still working great.

This item was inexpensive and I wasn't hoping for perfection...just a proof of concept test. I was wrong - it is perfect for what I was trying. This speed controller was installed between a little 12 volt water bath fountain and a12 volt SLA battery. Cut and strip wires and just plug them into this unit, tighten down the screws and that's it. Now my tiny bird bath fountain is more fun than ever, changes height of water column and lets me use some of the crazy spray pattern caps that came with the pump. My own little Belagio.
