Bamboo Placemat - Natural, 4pc Set

Exactly what we were looking for - unfinished light wood mats with small oval slats, no backing and no border. Just like the picture showed. Couldn't be happier with the product. Amazon's questions and answers were worse than useless, though. They apparently lump all bamboo mats together - flat or round slats, light or dark, finished or unfinished wood, with or without backing, with or without border. I expected better of Amazon. But - the mats themselves were perfect.

I like these, but they are too thin and tend to fold over or roll up too easy. So they don't lay flat and wrinkle. I used them for shelves to put dishes on, not a place mat at a dining table.

Very nice mats. Wish I had a table without junk on it so I could use them.

Used it for a plant mat on a display table. Terracotta glaze bottom of the pot was slightly damp which transfered into the mat and in just a week when I discovered it it had already grown a black mold stain. I live in low humidity pacific northwest. Wouldnt recommend it if you live in a high humidity south or east coast area unless you use a humidifier in your house because you wouldnt be able to store them away in a drawer. My other unfinished bamboo table runners and place mats are fine and have never grown mold. I may have to buy a can of spray lacquer to seal them if I want to continue to use them. ( something I would definitely recommend if you use them for tableware as you'll have to wash them from time to time and hang them up to dry.) They are ok for what I wanted to use them for, protecting the table from the flower pot saucer scratching the finish but I wouldn't bother to buy them again.

Received less than a month ago. Threads that hold reeds together very fragile. One mat has already fallen apart. Might be ok as mat under decorative object that's and is rarely moved but not as placemats.

They look good. Haven't tried them for wet felting yet.

Have had these since February. They've held up nicely and I love the simple quality.

they are ok but they slide around on the table too easy when trying to eat off a plate
